Jeez, you need to get some fresh old son, you have almost Gusset Syndrome. I would imagine (& no doubt someone will prove me right/wrong) that the Labour Party & probably Lib Dems have as many Eton/oxbridge toffs amongst their ranks as the CONs who dip their sticks wherever. Possibly Jim, and when they are in chgarge of stealing our hard earned I will turn my guns on them - but at the moment its the CONServatives turn , only fair

Who hasn't groped some man-bits after some heavy drinking ? I'd be more concerned about the c-units who deemed it safe to send old people back to care homes untested for Covid, and all the other dimwit decisions taken whilst pi$$ed of their tlts on 'expenses'.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

In politics, the 2017 General Election returned a parliament with the highest number of comprehensively educated MPs on record, at 52%. Nonetheless, 29% of MPs still come from a private school background, four times higher than the electorate they represent. The House of Lords is even less representative, with 57% of its members having been educated privately. This figure is actually 8 percentage points higher than 2014, potentially owing to the profile of new Lords appointed by David Cameron and Theresa May in the interim. The cabinet, at the time of analysis in spring 2019, was composed of 39% independently educated members. This is in stark contrast with the shadow cabinet, with just 9% - the lowest level of the privately educated in Britain’s elite outside professional football. Edited by Mapletree (01 Jul 2022 8.42am)

Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries confused the two rugby codes in a speech at a Rugby League World Cup event in St Helens on Thursday. Dorries thought Jonny Wilkinson's 2003 winning drop-goal for England against Australia in rugby union's World Cup final took place in rugby league. "I've always quite liked the idea of rugby league," Dorries said in her speech. "My long-standing memory is that 2003 drop-goal."

That's like not knowing the difference between men and women. In fact you could say she's dropped a ...whatever people drop these days.

Not the same level of entitlement and privilege but doubtless the same or more level of corruption, especially at local government level. I am not with CP on this. I fail to see any theft. There is of course incompetence. But what do you expect from a cabinet stuffed with opportunists who swept to power on the back of the populist Brexit charge? You handed power to the lunatics and are reaping what you sowed. That said, most on here are cool with that. Many said they would take the fall in the economy if it meant less Poles competing for jobs or NHS beds or whatever. Then again, they would do as they own their own homes, with no mortgage or debt, and have a sweet fixed, index linked pension scheme to keep them in clover till they pop off, regardless of what the economy does. And on our Polish friends, the builder doing my home right now tells me that trades have rocketed in price and construction will suffer as a consequence of the loss of competition. I suppose if those who consider themselves to be on the "right" will support socialist, protectionist policies, what do you expect?
