This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Wilf Ban' by Midlands Eagle Won’t defend Zaha here however this was a somewhat unique game. The ref bottled the Stephens tackle on Andros that should have been straight red. Bednareks tackle on Wilf was an orange card at worst and Wilf barely complained, which I noticed. Ward Prowse is an annoying little rat of a player and he got to Wilf, then fouled him, the ref once again bottled it and their little rat was able to wind Wilf up even more and you saw the rest. Wilf has to stop this though as he may as well walk around with a bullseye on his shirt.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

Well, he spoke out before in the post match interview, and no-one took too much notice. This time, it's going to be talked about all over the media and the tackles/challenges are going to be looked at closely, and with any luck, so will a lot of the ones in previous matches. He was described tonight my the commentators on the stream I was watching as 'the most fouled player in the Prem' That should mean that referees are more aware and watchful of the tackles on him, surely? It will be interesting to see if they can justify the criticism of Wilf's actions tonight. Not good behaviour on his part, but I can't bring myself to blame him - straw that broke the camel's back and all that. Sadly I rather suspect the opposite to be the case - refs will ignore him even more, treat him like a cry baby, and punish him for speaking out and taking the piss out of one of their is.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Wilf Ban' by Midlands Eagle We have, from time to time, seen players whose fouls have been noticed being substituted before they get a second yellow. Perhaps Roy will raise questions by substituting Wilf after he has been fouled four times - with Wilf instructed to run up and down the touchline, proving he has been taken away from danger. COYP

I think he will only get the one-game ban. I think it would be weird to extend for, really, just taking a while to leave the pitch.

Think it might do ya a favour in fact having to play without him . Not himself lately and we will not be relying on him in up and coming games . only one game.

This ref should not get away with tonight's performance, where is Willo for goulds sake!

Next game ... and then who knows, given his continued mocking of the ref after getting the red. It was a foul, true ... but what a dumbass. Stephens should've been off, too, in the first half for the studs-up assault on Townsend. Not even a yellow. Edited by jhillman (30 Jan 2019 10.27pm) Romeu was the worst offender, I think I counted six bookable fouls in the end and he took out Tompkins for what should have been a pen, ref didn't even look at him the whole match ...yet Zaha who was the victim of constant abuse gets a red, could not make it up.
