Who are all of the alternative attacking forwards queuing up to play for Palace if % of fans regard Wilf as being surplus to requirements?

It’s a yes from me. We have a fantastic team but limited squad at the moment and Wilf would be a major addition.

The terms of the deal now look ideal for us as all the drama will be gone and this year will be pure football.

If it works out we will negotiate a free transfer on reduced terms next year and if not I’m sure Wilf would have gained us a place or two in the table to justify the outlay!

Do the deal!

Remind me how many times that has happened in (say) the last three seasons?

Loos like the rumours on X of his return have legs. But I just dont think Wilf has them anymore.

Did we even make any substitutions at all for most of them?

I would have him back. Funny as we used to be a yo-yo club. And we somehow have developed a yoyo player.

Like everyone else, if the price is right, then yes. But more importantly does OG want him or is this an SP signing ? Because if SP forces this on OG then that's the slippery slope to a manager change. Can Wilf play the high press OG likes ? I'm not sure he's up to it anymore.

Well he certainly strung us along towards the end.

Firstly, my reading of this thread suggests there are at least as many people against the idea of Wilf returning than for it, so it's hardly a case of "Like everyone else..."

Secondly, you are absolutely right to ask who at palace is angling for this? If the club don't give Glasner what he wants or they give him what he doesn't want he may well be off.

My own thoughts are:
1. Why are Gala so determined to offload him? Is it purely that they have serious financial issues or is it for reasons we should be wary of?
2. I'm worried about the impact Wilf would have on the dressing room, especially, if, as I suspect, he wouldn't be an automatic starter.
3. in his final six month injury stricken time with us he struggled to make any meaningful impact when he was playing.

Consequently, I'd prefer us NOT to bring him back.

Everyone keeps saying he'd be useful off the bench; do people really think he'd be happy to return to sit on the bench? Great player for us in his pomp but even Roy said he could be a pain in training, constantly complaining at everyone. I just don't see how any of this makes sense other than for nostalgia.
