So what?

I could make contact with Margo Robbie about a threesome but that doesn't mean it's happening.

I understand from reputable sources Margo's threesome clause requires you to be a Chelsea supporter

Of course he might go but Olise does seem very different to most players. If he thinks that being here for another year will benefit him, he'll do that knowing that the interest will still be there next summer. Let's hope that happens.

If it is correct that the £60m release clause is for Champions League clubs, that immediately poses issues for Chelsea, United and Newcastle. Him and Musiala in the same team at Bayern would be something.

The release clause is a red herring, as nobody except those connected with the club and then only a few people I guess, actually know the details. Everybody else is just guessing with £60m, Champions League club only ( is that current CL for 2024 or those competing to be in it ).
The speculation and nonsense media stuff is worse than Zahas at its peak. Clubs are now wary of FFP sanctions and havent the money to use, as before.

It’s always possible Olise, and the club could be lured into a mega deal, but it will have to be Mega, capital M. When he signed that contract last year he was turning down the so called big time, and the club were making it clear the so called big time clubs would have to pay through the nose even if the player wanted out.
It’s football, more to the point it’s football journalism, masses of click bait as it has become known, we now have a whole summer transfer window of this to come. Several of the present team are hot talents, only made hotter by their England connections , it’s probable they are on the radar of all top six clubs, you don’t have to be a genius to know that and until one of these clubs is able to pay through the nose whilst convincing the player, which they couldn’t do just a year ago, then all it is ,is any number of lazy journalists stating the obvious, which is that every top club would like to have our best players. Well wouldn’t they, and some will try, but Parish is in a very good contractual position with Olise, and the others.
The click bait will carry on regardless until the window shuts, invariably based on easy to guess work but if anyone does get sold , and I hope it doesn’t happen, then I trust Parish to get absolutely top dollar, and I believe our manager will still form a winning side.

He modelled the new kit in the official video release so he can't leave now.
Along with Eze and Guehi they should've read the small print in their contracts!!

Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah are among the players Chelsea may consider using as makeweights in the deal.

Olise is understood to be keeping his options open this summer but wants a swift resolution to his future before he heads to the Olympics with France next month.

I'm looking forward to clubs agreeing to pay 60 million up-front to Palace and then finding out Olise wants an additional 40 million signing on bonus and to be the best paid player on the team

For Chelsea say £80m to us for non Champions league plus say £30m to Olise, and say £300K/week.
About the same as Caecedo. A steal.

I am quite encouraged that the FFP / PSR are having some impact and that some of the stupid money buying clubs who haven't paid any attention to financials have not anticipated it actually having any teeth

Namely those who have spent big, and critically handed over stupidly massive salaries on players with huge reputations who have undelivered.

Not only has their value plummeted but they can't even take the loss on those players and sell them cheaper because the salaries are too big for any prospective buyers and of course the players won't take a pay cut

Chelsea and Man Utd I am looking at you

But Newcastle, who haven't gone totally nuts with unlimited funds, have spent enough to be constrained.

Man City are in a different battle that could rip up the PL completely.

Villa don't have the spare cash and are not an exciting destination for Olise / Eze even though in the Champions League

Arsenal and Liverpool, like Man City, could be options (threats) but of course they have good teams already do game time is limited for new signings

Michael, stick with Palace for another year while things settle down, it will be lots of fun and the grass is not always greener!

It appears one CL club has approached Palace re Olise - namely Bayern München (as per The Athletic). He should get perennial CL football with them even with Kompany at the helm.

Since he has the world at his feet I guess it will depend if that is his dream?

If it's Man Utd (vomit noises) he may have to wait another year but no guarantee that basket case will be in a CL spot then either
