He has the mark of a small time Mark Ashley about him, like a cross between Ashley and Del boy, but with less scruples.
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

According to Alaneagle Parish is to busy getting his c..k sucked by everyone that doesn't agree with him on how to run a club . How do you think we will get on withhout Eze for the next 6 weeks . A very big loss but think Olise will be back soon .

So that leaves Textor and the bottom line is that I just don't trust him. A really quick Google search doesn't shine him in the best light with his approach to multi-club ownership, the way he treats those at the club, and the way he runs the club. For example: Lyon - Currently under sanctions from the French Football Federation and having to sell up their better players on the cheap due to the way the club's been run financially. Botafogo - Textor receiving death threats and fan protests after selling off one of their best players to, incidentally, Lyon. Molenbeek - Sacks entire management team five days before the season starts and it emerges that he put pressure on the coaches to play certain players or he'd start breaking contracts. And this article from the FT.com, that explains that Textor's business model is to get young players and then sell them off for profit, thereby generating more money for the investors, not necessarily the club (if it's in the FT, then it's not aimed at the likes of us is it?). So do you feel happy with this person having a controlling interest in the team? I don't think it would be a leap of imagination to see him selling off Palace players to make money to keep Lyon afloat and then suddenly our fortunes are intertwined with teams in other leagues, in other countries, how they are doing on the pitch, and more importantly, financially. If Parish has spotted this (and I'm not a canny businessman nor a millionaire and I can spot it) then this is probably why he's being a pain in the backside to Textor and not letting him have his own way. Can't see Textor working to keep Olise, Eze, Doucouré, or Guéhi in the last transfer window with his mindset, let alone offering Wilf a lucrative deal to stay. So whilst you might think people are sucking Parish's c*** on here, perhaps it's better than the devil's tit... Parish would still want to control everything if a billionaire came along there’s no stopping him he can’t help himself. Ok yes textor has got bad press from sources that are you don’t know 100% are accurate. Why let him in the club in the first place if he was dodgy sums up parish decision making. His been lucky with managers that they have wanted to come. Half of them didn’t want to stay under him. Also doesn’t excuse the fact we have threadbare squads every season. We have a whole window to do business and yet again we fail managers how your not embarrassed is astonishing Edited by EagleAlan78 (03 Oct 2023 8.33pm) Edited by EagleAlan78 (03 Oct 2023 8.34pm)

The only thing I would say in support of those complaining on here is that we are genuinely hopeless at getting transfer deals over the line. Roy by his own admission said that we were waiting for two other players to join us and that the deals were virtually done (Ekitike and Hall). However they obviously weren’t entirely done and as it happened so late in the window, it was too late to look elsewhere and that was the end of that. That did leave us with a paper thin squad for the start of this season and we are now suffering because of it. To be honest it’s not the first time we’ve heard, “we tried to get a couple of deals over the line but it proved too difficult “. In fact it might well be our most used phrase come the transfer window, apart of course from “January is very expensive “.

The sources I've pasted in about Textor are from a quick Google search and perhaps there's evidence for the contrary out there. Not sure I agree about Parish wanting to stay on if a billionaire bought him out. Think that would only happen if he locked himself in his office, and fairly sure no one would take his calls if that happened. However, none of this would be happening if Jordan had sold up to Gadaffi or P Diddy had come in and bought the club when we were in administration, these "what ifs" would have saved us from having to put up with Parish, guess we'll never know what would of happened... Not sure I agree about the managers though and them not wanting to stay under him. I'm only going to go back to Freedman, but he left after getting lied to about a war chest at Bolton (by his own admission), Holloway left as he said he couldn't hack it in the Premier League, Pulis did fall out with Parish so yep, he didn't want to stay under Parish, Allardyce left reportedly to spend more time with the family, but Pardew, de Boer and Vieira were all sacked due to poor results. I supposed we could wonder if Holloway and Allardyce were lying, but that would be pure speculation that anyone could claim from every direction. But am I embarrassed by the depth of the squad? Well yeah, who wouldn't love to have a squad like Man City or even Chelsea(!) where you look at the bench and see players sitting there doing b0llocks all, but with their worth being more than our current first team squad, not one football fan out there wouldn't want that. The thing is that we don't have the money for that, plain and simple, and until someone comes in who isn't yet another asset stripper or conman what do we do? Where do we get the funds from? I don't think Parish is the problem as he's not withholding back a few hundred million that's stopping us from buying players, we simply don't have it and that won't change unless someone with deep pockets buys or invests (without an agenda) into the club.
The trouble with computers, of course, is that they're very sophisticated idiots |

That's a fair point Eaglecoops and if we have someone lined up and in budget, then I'd like to know why we didn't land that player. It is odd as we got Lerma in before I think the transfer window had opened, Franca early August, with the likes of Henderson and Holding joining just before the window shut, so what happened with Ekitike? Be interesting to see if we go for him in January. With Hall, we had the loan deal lined up and pretty much a done deal until Newcastle showed interest. Being that Hall has been a Newcastle supporter since childhood, I'm not surprised he chose them over us really.
