Very comfortable win for MU against a poorly equipped CPFC in the first half. Better second half but the game clearly showed up all our weaknesses.

Denial is not just a river in Egypt

Dire game. Poor tactics first half, no attacking intent. Typical Hodgson away from home game plan, defend deep and hope for a break.

If ever there was an advert to the board that we needed more additions over the summer. Oh well January window not too far away...but as we all know that's a difficult window!

One day I hope we'll look for fullbacks who can cover the ground and an attacker who has pace and a bit of urgency.

As close to throwing in the towel in a competition as you can get without making it look too obvious

No attacking ability it looked like.

Irredeemably awful from start to finish.
Plan A Don’t let them score
Plan B Don’t let them score another
Plan C Repeat plan B but better

No surprise tonight given the team we put out. We’d just better hope we don’t get any more injuries. Edouarde out is going to be a big loss. Never thought I’d say that.

Just about as bad as it gets tonight:

- Paper thin squad getting even worse
- Only spent any recognisable money on two players who’ve mustered 15mins between them
- (I’m guessing) state of squad leaves Roy feeling as though we’re unable to compete on more than one front (PL)
- Even fringe players recognising that it’s not worth bothering in cup
- JRS very far off being first team worthy and probably won’t ever get there
- We offer very little in attack and nothing with one or two not in starting XI

Might just be me hitting peak despondency over tonight’s game but you can’t help but feel we should offer far, far more than we did tonight. Felt like a bit of a ‘f**k you’ to travelling fans which is where my empathy lies.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

What we desperately need is a right back.JRS was completely outclassed, Jairo was not bad, I can't understand his labelling as not premier league standard and based on today's showing, Holding was a waste of money.Lets see a little more of that 18year old Ozoh in the future.Of course January is the time to spend some money on one or two decent signings.

Dire and dreadful.
I expected such an outcome.
