Although the team selection was odd... there's only 2 people at fault for making it 2-0. Anderson with another own goal and Johnstone with some sloppy play. Players have off days, they have both shown to be good players usually. Ref was a complete tosser. We move on to hopefully a better performance Saturday. Watch the first goal again. Mitchell and Ayew did not defend it and the ball went through them and hit Andersen. Should never of got to him :-(

We praised him instantly when the performances were great so why can’t we criticise when the last two have been terrible? Also, we have 4 years of Roy before to draw comparisons to so it’s hardly a snap judgement.

Woeful game of football decided by 2 woeful mistakes. We didn’t learn anything new about our team and Wolves fought for their lives. Just mark it down as one of those games and look forward to West Ham which should be a good game and you all be glad that Roy rested his midfield.

On the supporters coach ready to leave.. I understand rotating a couple of players but to rotate an entire midfield with players that have hardly played was just bizarre... As soon as I saw Luka was starting I knew we were in for a long night... I think it's safe to say the Roy's return honeymoon is well and truly over after Saturday and tonight. Tonight was like a step back to the Hodgson at the end of his first tenure. Olise was frustrating tonight. How many times did he fail to clear the first man with his set pieces?? What's concerning is that's 2 games in a row where we haven't looked like scoring at all... However we will have enough to limp to safety I'm sure then we can get shot of Roy and hopefully start again but we desperately need some investment. I'm moving house tomorrow and was debating whether to give tonight a miss as I won't get home until about 3am... I made the wrong choice clearly but hey the things we do for Palace!! Well, I think you deserve motm then, given noone else really earned it...maybe the players could help you move as penance?!

We have one problem with our side that badly affects both ends and that is winning balls in the air and until the scouts sort this out we are never going to progress.

Agree, there is only one person picks the team and that midfield selection was the reason we gave them first half midfield dominance and ultimately why we lost.

Clearly Roy thought we could play Wolves even or better in the first half, and except for a terrible misplay he was right. EVEN THOUGH we were uncoordinated and sloppy, we had more good chances than Wolves in the first half. In the second half, Wolves parked the bus early yet we still played as much good tight-area football as I can remember from Palace. Excellent final-third movement and much successful intricate passing. Indeed, in the entire match we earned many more scoring chances than they did, including: * Eze rocket straight at Sa Respectable chances on most of our 11 corner kicks, and a total of 14 shots overall. Wolves? Two lucky goals yield 3 points.

Doesn't take long for the Luka bandwagon to come out swinging hey. He was not the reason we lost today - and while didn't star, was not really any better or worse than anyone else on the field. It got boring two years ago. Now it's just excruciating. As for the rest of the game, we've got gems in Olise and Eze...but until we can complement them with a striker who can find the goal, we'll always be where we are. Actually would've loved to see Big Ben in this team - he'd lick his lips and Olise's crosses.

59% possession away from home, 14 shots to 9, 4 on target and the BBC post match report says we never looked like conceding and carried a threat going forward. Doesn’t sound like we played badly. Stats can lie but it’s much better than the dross we had under PV and not the negative Roy tactics some people here have been suggesting. Just the problem we’ve had for a long time now. Wither the final ball isn’t good enough or our striker is not up to standard. I suspect a bit of both tonight. Let’s hit 40 points on Saturday against the Spam.

Roy makes the decisions when it goes well he will rightly get praise and when it doesn’t he will rightly get criticism. Anybody who can’t see that is a melter.
