Delighted with the point. Scoring goals is a massive problem for a lot of teams this year. I think defences are just getting stronger with better organised teams.

I know I say this every week but what in the name of god does Schlupp bring to the team? He doesn’t have a single attribute that I look at and think that’s what keeps him in the team.

Yep I agree 100% the front seem to come alive. We need to stop sitting back and leaving it all to zaha up front. I think we neve had a shot on target until he came off!

1. As a number of others have said - Respect the point. A point a game over the next seven would be acceptable.
2. Richards was excellent tonight - my MOTM.
3. That Pope save was the save of the match.
4. Was furious Hughes didn't start but when he came on we had more bite in midfield (he was silly for the yellow though).
5. If Wilf's injury is as bad as it might be we'll get to see just how well we'll cope without him - we might be pleasantly surprised.
6. Great to see Ozoh get on. As I've said elsewhere - he looks like a midfield beast in the making.

I was super-impressed by Ayer’s contribution.

In a strange twist of fate, if Zaha’s injury is long term, I wonder if they would recall Ebiowei from Hull?

Respect the point, particularly against this incredibly talented top 4 side, who enjoy the best defensive record in the Premiership and have loads of dosh to strengthen anytime.

Schlupp brings a burst of energy, directness and athleticism to the match which can really be of benefit to us. He also has a wicked left peg in certain circumstances.

This is an asset off the bench, later in the game but completely ineffective starting a 90min match where his weaknesses such as tactical understanding, technical ability, positioning and work rate are badly exposed.

It’s a bit like playing a pretty good goalkeeper up front.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Hughes has to start , i would like to see Ayew play down the middle again Mateta and Eduardo are just not good enough. I also think Wilfs injury maybe a blessing in disguise .All in all another good point

I disagree. Our strikers are feeding off scraps. No service at all. Mateta had one sniff today and pope pulled off a great save. The same can be said for Odsonne the other night where he had one half chance and De Gea pulls off a worldy.

As much as people go one about Zaha, Eze and Olise they basically create bugger all.

A great point. The two centre backs outstanding again but we are seriously lacking in quality.

Eddie Howe is a massive cvnt and I really hope it ends in tears for him. As others have said they're s*** watch considering the money they've spent.

Although he's limited I enjoyed Mateta giving their centre backs a few of Eddie's treasured dirty tricks.

The referee was a w***er.

Eze was voted 3rd best Palace by the BBC audience, he was the only player who looked lightly to play a creative pass, Edouard, Wilf and Schlupp were absolutely terrible, Richards, played well, but know heads went down, and but from a world class save from Pope from Mateta we could have nicked it

Eze had 2 good opportunities to play through balls today. One he hooked and the other went straight to a Newcastle player. He looked better midweek when he came on as a sub. What I find frustrating is when he has space to run into he tries to pass it. Generally he can’t pass wind.
