Now there is a performance worth applauding. So much better than the weak rubbish we’ve seen recently. Well done boys, great effort. Totally agree! Deserved something with that performance.

For me Hughes epitomised what was different tonight; he misplaced passes but he was everywhere and showed such a fight that's been missing - the clear MOTM for me. Strangely I thought Olise was not at his best, but an amazing free-kick. Richards had a solid full PL debut. Given United's form and the fact they had an extra day to recover points to what a result this was. Hopefully we can now tarnish Newcastle's record Huge well done to the team and Vieira.

Great performance. The whole team fought and showed spirit. If we could just improve our final touch and maybe sign 1 or 2 players we’ll be in business again. Well done boys!

Really good performance from all of them and subs made an impact at the end when we needed fresh legs. Well done PV. Hopefully Hughes gets a start from now on. Mateta doesn’t look like the answer up front but maybe he’d improve with game time.

Still at the ground…no point trying to drive home yet - just buzzing Nothing else to add really - but did wonder if Zaha might just win it for us at the end… I’m just really pleased for the team and PV. Crowd tonight were a different class - a proper Selhurst atmosphere. COYP

Impressed with Richards and Hughes really got stuck in. Like the commentators I didn't see a goal coming until Olise super strike. Zaha lost his edge perhaps he needs a break. Some good performances there but I felt the United defence was not put under much pressure.

Why did Olise not celebrate his goal at all? Maybe because the rumours are true and he's off to a certain French club?
