You watched a different game to me. We played well at times in the first half against a side lacking confidence but apart from the Ayew moment didn’t really look like scoring. At half time Conte said all you have to do is pressure their defence and use the spaces all over their midfield. And twenty minutes later it’s 4-0. Not quite sure where the luck is in that.

Agree.

My brother reckons statistically we have run the least of all teams in the prem.

When things go our way we love it but when not we look lost and absolutely fold.

Really love the players but getting a bit sick of seeing the likes of Eze and Schlupp doing that limp wrist half-jog around the pitch.

No real fight, passion or purpose. Could/should have gone in at the break with a lead and gave up after their first.

Need a midfield and wing backs. We are seriously lacking in both areas. Says a lot when even a great new striker, winger etc would be low down on my wish list.

0-7 over last two home games against teams you could see us beating. Shambolic.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

And there's me thinking Roy didn't have a plan B. Vieira seems totally stuck in his ways, obsessively partnering Schlupp with Doucoure, and playing Eze, Olise, and Zaha at the same time. It doesn't work. Why did it work last season? This is a question he should be asking himself.

This is spot on. Lots to like about that performance 4-0 does not fairly reflect how the game was played.

The result does not reflect our overall performance.

They had slightly more possession, but we had more shots and more corners.

Their keeper was probably busier than ours, and, to his credit, he made some smart saves.

Credit it to the lads for pressing right to the end.

Luck is a big factor, and I think they enjoyed more of it.

On another day, the three points could have been our’s.

On that showing, nothing to lose any sleep about.

We got knocked down but we get up again.

COYP!

Not sure what’s happening behind the scenes. Before the WC we were playing well and rotating Mateta and Edouard up front. PV seemed in control. He even subbed Zaha when he had a poor game. Suddenly it’s Ayew or Zaha through the middle and Mateta and Edouard can’t get a game! Ayew works hard but isn’t a centre forward and Zaha should have been taken off tonight. Don’t believe we will go down but we will be in the mix and finish lower than we’ve done for years unless PV gets a grip.

In truth it doesn’t matter who plays up front. The build up is too slow and the midfield just too weak. Until that’s sorted whoever plays up front won’t get good enough service. Nor will our defence get the needed support. One or two of Eze, Olise and Zaha need to be impact players from the bench.

Olise and Zaha both needed on the wings.

Love Eze, but he's a luxury player. You either play two absolute grafters behind him or leave him off (the former would be my preference). He needs a bit of freedom to do what he does best and cannot do what is currently needed. Playing both him and Schlupp from the beginning leaves us with essentially one player in midfield from what I've seen. Great against the likes of 'relegation candidate x' but in games like tonight, well...

Looked absolutely shattered (unfit) second half tonight too from my seat.

2 home games in a row that we’ve conceded the second goal and then completely lost interest. Fulham should have smashed us 6 or 7 and Spurs should have done the same. Shows there is f*** all leadership in the team and a poor in game management by PV.

We played very well for about 40 minutes, but Kane's two excellent goals (with his first two shots) made it an uphill battle for a young squad. I'm watching the replay now, right after Kane's second, and we're still playing hard, showing belief in ourselves. But there are limits to our ability, and thus limits to our bouncing back against a top squad.

We're playing slow pit pat football with championship level players and getting found out. But more worryingly our recruitment and so called development has left us without any players capable of playing with any pragmatism or aggression or intensity. We're absolute powder puff.

I hope there's another team as bad as Southampton and Bournemouth.

Is there? In our good spell of pressure we managed one chance. We do not turn possession into actual chances at all, we're painfully toothless. Never mind the defensive side either, the less said on that the better

When I first heard we had PV, I wasn't impressed, his lack of managerial experience in the uk leagues, well, non existent really rubbed me the wrong way. MLS isn't anything to write home about.
His first season, I expect we still had subconsciously drilled into us Hodgson's ideas etc and the shackles were off in some respects and with CG on loan, it was a fun season. At times, far more attractive to watch, which to me, was nice.
This year, we been found out, PV doesn't have a plan B, we don't have CG in midfield, too much is expected of Wilf and he looks to have zoned out and we are left stranded.

That's why I don't like loans, once they gone, you got nothing.

PV's experience or lack of, is showing now. He needs help, he needs advice and I hope he can get it and take it.

This summer, we need a leader in midfield, we need to move on and away from zaha, I would also sell Olise - we don't need Olise, but we need his transfer money.

Build around Eze, buy a player akin to CG and have a system.

If anyone let Kane wander into the box especially for Kanes second it was Guehi. Not schlupp. And wards attempt to stop him was pathetic.
