Watford, Burnley, Wolves, City and Newcastle. If we want to be in this league, we should be beating 3/4 of those teams. Let's say we get through that patch with 9 points, that's 35 points with leeds, Southampton, Watford, villa left to play..... whilst enjoying a cup run. We are in a great position.

With the greatest of respect I cannot see us attaining 9 pts from the games against Watford,Burnley,Wolves, Man C and Newcastle.

Any of the 7 teams below us relegation candidates. It’s just as possible Newcastle Everton and Leeds could be relegated as Burnley, Watford, Brentford and us even Aston Villa have just one more point more than us admittedly having a game in hand. My gut feeling is that the current bottom three are the ones going down.

Burnley sometimes are 'Slow burners' at the start of the season but manage to haul themselves clear and they have players in their squad who have fought relegation battles and survived. Leeds have real injury problems and have conceded 50 PL goals.Their next 2 games are against Liverpool and Tottenham.

You get better off of us staying up than any off the team currently below us. I think we went through a bad patch because of players missing due to injury and AFCON. With the return of Zaha, Ayew, Kouyate and Macca we should easily compete and stay up with some degree of comfort.

The odds on us getting relegated get cut if we lose to Watford on Wednesday, not before. Lose to Burnley as well and they’ll be slashed. I don’t know what to expect in the next week but I hope the management and players deliver and finish the opportunities they create. 2 draws or 1 win is the minimum or it’s going to be really tough. We need a result or 2 and if we do we’ll hopefully be in a better habit of accumulating points.

I'm sad to say that I would take 2 draws against Watford/Burnley, because that hurts them more than it hurts us. Worst case scenario is we lose one or both of these matches, which is very much possible, given our recent form. Getting 4 points from these two dire clubs would make us almost certainly safe, but it's also a pipe dream, since we could only manage 2 points against pathetic Norwich/Brentford sides. EDIT: We're currently between 12/1 to 16/1 to be relegated. Everton, Leeds, Newcastle, Brentford, Burnley, Watford, Norwich all have shorter odds than us. Bad results against Watford and Burnley, and I believe we could be the 4th/5th favorite for relegation by Sunday. Edited by Wilbraham413 (21 Feb 2022 3.57am)

I too would take two draws against Watford and Burnley because it stops them getting points.
