The French league is a nothing league so that is meaningless.

The Prem is global so much money involved in it which is why the TV money is so large spread out in the league.

I think 3 german league players tested positive with no symptoms. Isolate for 14 days. That's exactly what's going to happen here. All cameras ready to go. Teams in the changing room. Bang positive test game off. Can see it happening within the first week.

There are so many outcomes which could end badly for trying to finish the season. A player(s) dying is one possible, but one positive test result is going to expose this as nothing more than a money-driven pie-in-the-sky fck-tard of an idea.

They should be consulting all divisions on how best to sort out relegation and final league positions by mathematics.

I am making black armbands for Liverpool fans in expectation of their loss of a nailed-on Title. Will be selling on ebay soon.

They will win it but by default. Happy bloody days.

No relegation yup I can see how this would be attractive to the clubs at the bottom of course it's not very fair on the EPL clubs at the top.

I can see something like this happening because this year so many clubs could get relegated. If the bottom three were adrift I think the other 17 would say tough luck but with 14 votes needed for rule changes I doubt they will get them unless the PL waives a big carrot such as this.

As a slight aside from the lawyers and money-men,...I don't think the appetite from fans is there to finish the season. Except for those in the top 3 of their divisions.

Personally, I wouldn't want ambulances/medcial staff diverted to neutral football grounds because players have tested positive before a game.

Trying to finish the season in the current climate of real (justifiable) fear, is just a really really 5hlt idea.

Didn't Bradford, Hillsborough and Hysel make the football governing bodies more aware of people's (players and spectators) safety at football matches ?

This is a time to change the rules on squads that many of us wanted years ago. Every squad should have a certain amount of U21 Club developed, English players registered and there should be a rule about how many English youngsters should be in each matchday squad.

Something like every team should have 4 U21 English players registered - perhaps on top of the 25? They should then have to include at least two English U21 players in each matchday squad - with one, at least, in the starting line up.

If it works it could be added to later. This way - we reduce the amount of overpaid players and we increase the amount of English youngsters in the game, therefore stopping a part of the reliance on transfers and making teams pay more attention to their own youth development.

Obviously there are issues with this and it will also never happen in England but this is the time to do something like this. Of course, nothing like this is being discussed or considered but I would think this could help going forward in many ways.

Spare a thought for Macclesfield fans they have just been given their second points deduction of the season. The first of many clubs to be in real trouble I fear.
