When wolves went down to ten men I felt we were going to see something special as that even upped the numbers as PVA just couldn’t be arsed again so we only had 10 men most of the game until Roy put teckers on then we were down to 9 proper s***e today if we didn’t have Guaita that would have been a romp in for wolves today. Can’t wait to hear what Hambo has to say about that shies performance

Seems to be a recurring issue. Why we are putting out such a defensive midfield against everybody needs to be questioned. Wolves were a team lacking confidence yet we let them settle with a defensive set up, producing nothing of note all 1st half.

I think its inevitable that Roy will get some stick. Setting up in the first half like we are playing man city away against a team 3rd from bottom without neves. Bringing on benteke when ayew was going through his best period of the match. Leaving schluup on, who goes missing, head down, never shows for it and does not help pva or show for him. They had no right back after ten men, surely zaha going to the left would have been a good idea. Townsend ayew and zaha running at a tired 2 man defence. Mccarthur being subbed off.

When he took Ayew off he was limping quite heavily.

Not only can’t we hit a barn door but when it came down to the last ten minutes we also couldn’t put our foot on the ball and hold onto it. As good as we looked in the second half we never looked like getting that second. After next Saturday I’m not sure where the points are coming from over the next couple of months? Not worth having a go at certain players but one in particular shouldn’t be near the first team - grrr!

No it wouldn't as refs add on about 30 seconds or a minute for subs.

Settle for mediocrity a basic mistakes.

Ayew looked pretty annoyed to me when his number went up. And just before he got subbed he ran 30 yards to close the ball down.

We are too defensive at home, and Roy keeps giving Benteke a chance to come on and fck it all, which he did again today. All he had to do was slip the ball through to Wilf and it was all over, and how he managed to hit the keeper instead of the goal I have no idea !

We cannot get away from the fact that every single time Wolves attacked us we had kittens and the fact we should have easily killed them off in the second the first half should have had them at least two up, people complain about how we played the first half but this Wolves team has been damn good even with the harsh results they've had this season so far, 1-1 probably a fair reflection in the end. Nothing wrong with Hodgson being hesitant either after our last first thirty minutes.

I think part of the issue with RH is if you offered him Zaha or Schlupp for example he would take the latter.

Everything is structural, the problem is that I don’t think he knows how to coach attacking.

Take Kane with England, or not picking Zaha then.

Everything is “safety first” which is fine in itself but trying to
shoehorn in functional, but favoured players , is showing limitations.

It mirrors his England and Liverpool time. Great at coming in and stemming the flow, but no clue how to attack teams so reverts to what he knows. Problem is when sides have figured that out and you have weak links like PVA etc.

Yep, I think with Hodgson you're very unlikely to go down.....and to be frank we have a core of a side that can be upper mid table.

However, our side is also carrying players and that's very dangerous and it lost us points today.

I'm expecting this to be the catalyst for action.

Just got back from the game, that should have been 3 points. IMO very poor not to see the game out especially against 10 men.

Need a severe improvement against Norwich.

Yeah. And why has no one mentioned that he dominated his box all game and pulled off a world class save in the first half?

I’m not,

More of the same will be the order of the day.
