The difference was 32 points; 46-14. 24 points over the ozzies! And we are better than Ireland right now. A lot better. That said I fear our penalty count will defeat us as ireland were defeated today by being NVG.

Game on for the semi final. As soon as the pass was made, I, watching on TV, shouted "forward", as it was obviously so. I couldn't believe it when the TMO then said that he saw nothing wrong with it. Mind you, ever since I began watching RU in the 1960s, New Zealand have always been the masters of the forward pass.

I watch super rugby down there and of course the tri nations ,and the interpretation of the laws by the antipodean refs is so different from the others.

The knockouts have been great so far. Shame Scotland have no hope.

Surprised to see non African faces in the Springboks team Yeah I did think that too. All those Dutchmen playing for South Africa. Heard recently that China are planning to go down this route to win the football World Cup. If it’s done because someone has grown up in the country or parentage then there’s nothing to discuss but not to get a game, international experiences and caps or win tournaments. If we had a Messi who’d spent a few years in England winning us the World Cup it wouldn’t sit right with me. Wasn’t it Arteta who was thinking or planning to play for England?

That's what caught NZ out during the Lion's tour. Southern hemisphere refs let a lot more go which is how they can play "close to the line". Except when there's proper officials which mean the likes of SBW gets caught for obvious foul play. It was weak referring not to give Reid a yellow yesterday.

The stamping in SA years ago was pretty bad. In the way or not they’d get a good stamping. We’re just too civilised up over here.
