We even missed a penalty - I believe it was Geoff Thomas from the back of my mind. A comical day really. Liverpool gave us an extra allocation of tickets as we were all dying to see Anfield. In all fairness, that was an excellent side - and we weren't that bad either. You aint wrong there, its one of those precious Palace moments, that you had to be there, bit like going to samsunspor in Turkey for a euro game, think there was about 50-60 of us, mental. The thing I love about Palace, is they do give us surreal moments, suprising moments & downright crap moments & NEVER in equal quantities.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Please start a separate post on that Turkish trip - always sort of regretted not going but a long way on my own! From memory, the club organised and in and out job which was £750 + VAT whilst the Eagle Eye boys were flying to Istanbul then to Ankara then a 250 mile coach trip! Originally posted by eagleman13

Back to the subject, atmosphere in the ground is linked to what happens on the pitch and not the hf. People who actually watch the game and get exited by what they see is what creates the best atmosphere.

I think people make to big a deal about our atmosphere and the HF.. It clearly doesn’t matter on the pitch as our home form has been shocking for a number of seasons now..
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

They originally wanted to brand the singing section with two stylised large S' but Hennessy raised his arm to object.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

So did it make any difference, louder? Anyone on here in it? Turns out we stand literally next to the drums. My ears really hurt. My initial thoughts are they need to work out how to get the rest of the stadium joining in. Oh that's easily solved ... just play some decent football and score some goals!!! The place will rock.

OK. So how did it sound today? I had earplugs in but there were some good loud songs involving most of the ground.

My brother and I feel moving centrally has made no difference at all. Edited by premier fan (31 Aug 2019 6.52pm)

My first home game this season. Found the drum, is there 2 now?, embarrassing. Great noise from all round the ground once we’d scored.
