With the dross all playing each other, the midweek results will present a distorted picture of where we will end up. Conclude nothing from them (unless we win!).

We will not go down this season.

Before we play Watford in the cup we have 3 games. Realistic to expect 4/5 points from these games. Utd have injuries but will still be strong. A point would be great. Burnley are a strange one. They were probably the worst premier league team I have seen in years when they came to Selhurst before xmas. We are good away from home so no reason why we can't pick up another point. Then Brighton. It will be a close game, but one we can win.
We then have Huddersfield at home. 3 points from that and I think we will have enough. I can't see both Cardiff and Southamption getting more than 37 points from their remaining games.

i think we should be targeting 7 points from Burnley, BHA and Hudders. We really need to start winning at home and so we must fancy these 2 at home for maximum points - Brighton are pretty average away (and of course we need to beat the scum) and if we can't beat Hudders maybe we deserve to go down.

Saturday's win is a massive 3 points though and gives us a little breathing space

There is absolutly no chance we will get relegated, all the teams under us are piss poor. The question is how high will we finish. We have a great squad and a great manager

With the bottom two on so few points, I think 17 place may require 42 points this season to stay up. I looked at the fixtures of the teams around us and I recon they all have 12-15 points in them.

In Rafa Benitez press conference today he said 38 points ought to do it this season ....who am I to argue with that ?

I am not saying it won't be close but I feel confident in the management and the squad that we have enough to avoid religation again for another year.

I have a nice bet with a mate that we finish above Everton, I can see a draw in that game.

Yep, will happen so well done.

TBH I think we need 2 more wins at that will be enough we are 6 points clear and with our goal difference counts as another point so 7 points clear of Southampton meaning they have to win 2 and draw 1 and Palace not pick up another point.

With Southampton next 6 games that is not going to happen.

For me we are 7 points from the bottom 3 and 6 points from 9th I am certainly looking up as opposed to down.

Unbeaten in 6 games have a pretty much full strength squad which now has depth so for me going to be a good end to the season.

And a couple of draws should be enough. Before the Foolem game felt we needed 5 wins, 2 now accomplished. Seem to always come good this part of the season when we struggle early doors. When we start good, the wheels fall off around now. That's the Palace rollercoaster for you.

We should be fine. 38pts should b sufficient (1pt per game) and we are ahead of target at the mo and seemingly hitting our stride at the right time.
The only spanners would b our back line(imo our unsung heros - best GD in thr bottom half and worth a point in its own right)) being taken out through injury or suspension.

relegation is definitely a possibility this season - for Brighton.

But they were making plans for European travel before Christmas, so they can't possibly be relegation-threatened can they? Mind you they're very confident of winning the FA Cup so they should still get there

Chris Hughton in his pre-Leicester press conference said that there's no way a club like Leicester deserves to lose 4-1 to Crystal Palace.

An interesting take on entitlement.

I like Hughton he's a decent manager regardless of where he chooses to ply his trade but i feel a comment like that will just come back around and bite him in the toosh.
