He's young, home grown, got the best stats across Europe and has put all the big boys in his pocket this season. He's got to be worth some serious dough in this crazy market.

So we nurture an outstanding young talent and in his first full season in the first team there's talk of selling him. How the f*** are we to progress as a club if this happens?

Thanks It's become a bit mad really as AWB is now pretty much MOTM for us in nearly every game he plays. Wilf wasn't ready to play for a top side when he left, but I think AWB is. I really hope we don't lose him, but with his age, nationality, confidence and a very strong season behind him we at least will be able to command a very high fee if he does want to go. The one thing I really hope doesn't happen is that scumbag Levy doesn't start making derisory offers.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'An insult to Wan-Bisaka' by Midlands Eagle How is it that our incredible right back with the best defensive stats all season and the most consistent premier league defender is not in the short list for PFA young player. A joke and a disgrace. Any views.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'An insult to Wan-Bisaka' by Midlands Eagle Could be that he plays for Palace & the awards are BBC influenced. As an aside, why is Sterling allowed to be in BOTH age groups? I know he is young enough, but, surely its either one OR the other, not both.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'An insult to Wan-Bisaka' by Midlands Eagle There's a glut of talent players coming through at the moment. Good news for England. I doubt he'll be insulted.

Could be that he plays for Palace & the awards are BBC influenced. Someone has a rather large chip on their shoulder Bournemouth and West Ham both have a player nominated so it's not just down to players from the big clubs

This post has been merged from a topic called 'An insult to Wan-Bisaka' by Midlands Eagle Utterly f***ing disgraceful. He's the best right back in the league and stats have him as one of the best defenders in Europe. He should feel insulted. It's either deliberately malicious or those that decide these things are thick c***s who know nothing about football. Either way, a deep, deep insult. I expect RH to mention this on his behalf pre/post match when interviewed.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'An insult to Wan-Bisaka' by Midlands Eagle I don't get how 24 is young? Sterling and Bernardo shouldn't be in it. Bernado is 25 this year! I don't think Declan Rice or Rashford should be in it either. Oh well, the less praise he gets the more likely we are to keep him? Edited by DeanMiles (21 Apr 2019 1.51pm)

That's basically saying if someone is u23 they shouldn't get the main award no matter how good their season is? If someone has been that good they should be able to win both awards if eligible. Andy Gray, Ronaldo and Bale all scooped both prizes in one season previously. Dont see anything wrong here.
