Piss poor. It’s as simple as that. Ayew is weaker than a 3 year old and gets knocked off the ball by a gust of wind, looks as much a goal threat as Calvin Andrew. Sorloth poor desire and body language vs Boro, barely wins any headers, gets outmuscled by smaller players and has no close control or composure on the ball. Benteke has been a joke in front of goal for 16 months. Wickham is coming off 2 years out with a major injury and cannot be relied on. Once again we lack options thanks to our rubbish transfer dealings. Meanwhile Glenn Murray is still banging the goals in.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

yesterday ( 5th Jan V Grimsby ) we played three of our four strikers here is what I think Sorloth is f###### not very good and we should get rid of Wickham came on did not do a lot but tried hard and a long way off match fit . I wonder if he will be fit this season . Ayew looks a lot better at centre forward , as proved with 2 goals in 2 games , or is this just a flash in the pan ?

The mark of a striker is that he tucks the ball in the onion bag. Obviously in the modern game, strikers need to have a bit more about them, but if Ayew's last two games had been his first two for us (if that makes sense) then I'm sure we'd be praising him for two tidy match-winning finishes. Whatever works, works well.
