Again, why did we bid all that money in January for positions Parish knew we’d more than likely need to fill, and we still do need to fill? Either we have the money or Parish is an idiot and not beyond criticism. Its easy to criticise without being in possession of the full details. Calling Parish an idiot lessens the validity of your point, like most your just guessing.

In terms of the overall squad we are still in a very similar position to last year even if we have no new additions.

(Hand over eyes monkey emoji) Plus we are trying to build a new stand. So we need to put aside even more money we haven’t got. I do not know where the money came from for the players in January. I can only speculate and perhaps it was gamble like Villa to spend in January to secure perm survival. I’m just looking at the hard facts which is clear for everyone to see. We cannot continue in the same way we have done in the past two/three seasons. We need to change direction which is difficult for some fans to understand. But I’m confident in Steve, Roy and the team to pull through. I hope you are too We reported a profit a few weeks ago in the company accounts for season 16/17. If we have the ‘no money’ you’re re-emphasising after adjusting it to some money and not actually no money then I’m lost as to why we got ourselves in the situation with the wage offered to Cabaye and him leaving. The likelihood is we have some. Some for a centre mid and for 2 loans. There might possibly be money for some cheap purchases too but I’ll be surprised if there aren’t funds and a plan to make serious bids for centre mids after events since January. And why did we bid for Adamou in January? We didn’t actually need anyone in his position. Edited by Rudi Hedman (15 Jul 2018 5.41pm)

But key is that last year we did have two good loans - with RLC outstanding in the run in. This has not usually been the case so we cannot assume the same again. Sanogo anyone?

Presumably RH would not be staying if he did not have a squad he feels he can work with. He didn't get the 7 players he wanted in the last window either but carried on ok. The loss of 3 midfield players RLC, Lee and Cabaye is very damaging, if I am right he actually stopped Lee from leaving last January. Trust his judgement I guess.

He may have done better, sure, but look how they all ended, so it's not very hard - but in comparisons to present day chairmen, he isn't that good. Twitter was around back then and quality not quantity and the saying 'wise council' Parish is entitled to a holiday - sure - but to broadcast it over social media whilst he should be keeping a low profile as the club actively seeks improvement and you're not telling me his trip to the world cup isn't written off by palace? And, i have a lot more respect for the yanks - why? they come in, give us money and let the club get on with it. They could be off to russia, getting pissed on by tarts for all we know, but we don't... that's the beauty - i'm just tired of parish actively putting us in relegation battles and then last minute spends that cripples us long term. His side company - smoke and mirros should answer all you need to know Edited by Vaibow (15 Jul 2018 6.39pm)

I think Roy just has class, unlike the Big Sams/Pulis’ of this world and respects the club. Probably trusts in his ability to keep us afloat regardless too. But I can’t imagine he’d be particularly happy with the business we’ve done so far in his half a year at the club. The notion that this squad is anything but a firmly placed relegation candidate is a false one.

Have to look at how we finished the latter half of the season, decent. We know as does “Steve” a creative mid is vital. It will happen, Roy will demand it , we’ll get it. Relax .
