This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle Sometimes I wonder if people were watching the same player as me? At Everton Yala has struggled due to a long-term injury, but to say he didn't do much at Palace is surely just a case of short memory. If he came back and was playing at the same level as before he left for Everton then he would be a big asset. In the season before he left he had games where he almost single-handedly won us games with his explosive pace and strength. That season he was also providing consistent decent crosses and passes into the box. However, based on Roy's signings to date it looks like we're going to continue playing with a narrow four, which I could not see him fitting into.

If he could turn it round anywhere it’d be here. Although the money has to be bargain basement cheap. Under £10m and assuming his wages are similar to what they were when he left us. IF Everton really feel like they need / want to move him on we could be in a great position... for sure we’d be his first choice.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle Think we have to remember when we had both Zaha and Yannick at the club before it was Yannick who was the better player. He bought Wilf's game on. It almost seemed at times they were trying to outdo each other in ridiculous trickery and showmanship. In a friendly rivalry way that worked for us.

Would love the ‘old’ Yannick back but the injury has robbed him of his pace. Without that he’s not the same player it was so much of his game. Steer clear for me.

He’s on £100k roughly at Everton and was more than likely on not much more than £35k and maybe not even that. I also agree with PatrickA. Doesn’t suit us now/Roy.

Whilst this may well be true this ship has sailed on. We now have a different partner, Townsend as well as a different manager. Why would he return to Palace to sit on the bench and fight to regain his place in any case ?
