There are an awful lot of posts in this thread making accusations based on assumptions that no-one knows are true. Unbelievable. Some people on this board would start an argument when someone hands them a cheque for a £1m, they would probably be arguing the benefits of a bank transfer or cash and want to know why they have been so hard done by.

Agreed!
He is injured the same as 12 others - leave the man alone!

Anyway if he isn't fit then it's not really relevant - it's just using a child to generate more personal attacks on him, which is pretty nasty.

Wait till he gets back on the field and see what he does then. In the meantime whatever's going on assume that he needs youe support, not this s***.

It's just a shame that they can't afford a nanny as after all £5m a year doesn't go far nowadays

I wondered when my stalker would show up to disagree on principle

I presume he's Muslim, therefore there won't be a baptism on a Sunday, but knowing our luck it would've been on the Sunday on the last day of the season vs West Brom and the same on here would excuse him for the day.

He is captain. He should be at games, 3 day old baby of 3 or not. He's only required for a few hours a day, 5 days a week. No wonder we're in the sh1t we're in.

What if the Mother wasnt feeling particularly great after the stresses and strains of giving birth in the last few days and needed some rest? Are you seriously saying that its more important for him to sit in Selhurst rather that watch the game at home supporting his wife/gf and newlyborn?

Are they both orphans? Do they have no family?

Was he required for more than 4 hours from leaving the house to arriving again?

This is a completely new one in top pro football.

If he refused to play and cited a fake injury then that's a disgrace.

That said my son pulled his hamstring, he was rushed back before he felt ready because his physio assured him he was fine and promptly tore his ACL the game back. Had we had waited a couple more weeks he would likely now have a pro contract rather than spent the last six months having surgery and physio.

Given he's performed like a demon every time I've seen him, I'm choosing to give him the benefit of the doubt and will continue to support him as much as I do the rest of the club.
