Hark at Mr hindsight. Our injuries are cosmically awful. No one could have predicted they would be this bad.

We are not in a position to loan anybody out.

Souare was on the bench recently and would have not have been there if he was not fit and expected to play.

Will soon be teaming up with Delaney again I think, look at the injury rate.

PVA is attacking so why not move him up.

Should not say it as I might get shot, but his finishing better than Wilf ?

I've seen him play 4 games since he's been back...he's not ready.

I'd sooner play Ward there or Reideweld

Playing Soure is a far better option, than your suggestion of playing untried youngsters with no first team experience.

I haven't suggested playing them in defence... So has no relevance tbh.

I must admit that whilst Wilf was absolutely electric in November and December, I’ve felt he has been “off” in 2018. Anyone feel the same? Not quite the same, so I wonder if this has been building.

We are now in a position where we aren’t the worst team in the scrap and we are ahead of those bottom three.

I’d say it’s more about being hard to score against for the rest of the year. Do that and we will survive.

Faith in our Roy!

So how are youngsters supposed to get first team experience? Only in useless friendlies or coca cola cup games? Thus still having no experience? Do you see what you actual say: we want experienced players but will not allow any player to gain that experience.?

Before we go off at a tangent, is there any injury update on Wilf?

There's been nothing at all from either the club or the player with respect to an injury, let alone an update.

Pretty difficult piece of analysis to do, that. As well as contributing to goals he also tracks back a lot and made a couple of important defensive interventions on Sunday - on one of those occasions in the second half he was going like a train, so how he can have a goosed knee beats me - and plus which of course helps make sure that the ball spends a decent amount of time away from our goalmouth (although clearly Sakho was a big part of the difference between the first and second halves in that department). Then again of course it isn't as if we'll be playing with ten men and we will still have someone on that wing, albeit a less prodigious talent.

We may find out that Wilf's fundamental importance to us is to some extent in our players' heads.

We may also find out that he's in desparate need of a rest, although that will do us little good if he doesn't come back.

Everyone’s looking at the results without Wilf this season and assuming we lost because he wasn’t playing. Most of the time he was missing we were also managed by Frank and defending like headless chickens. Think we have more of a chance with Roy at the helm. Sakho was also missing at the same time as him for the first 5 weeks of the season. At least for the time being he’s about to add some composure to the back line in his absence. Definitely too early to think we’re doomed just yet.

Thanks. I thought as much. After the transfer news of the last month, we can only hope that this is balls.
