Tomkins booked.

The way Hernandez screamed I thought he’d snapped his leg like a twiglet. What a pussy.

Sako off injured, have to put a holding midfielder on because no other attackers on the bench. Now 1-1 and Hodgson has ZERO attacking options.

Hope the boys on the pitch can do it but I'm disgusted with our Chairman and board.

How many pounds will he save signing people tomorrow? Would that player have scored tonight had he signed last week?

Pipe down mate and get back out there and support the players on the pitch tonight

Penalty looked like there was no contact to me and totally over exaggerated but still a whole half to put that behind us. Need a bit of a lift second half

waaaa waaaa waaa surely a wind up. A month ago you would have been wetting your pants if sako was given the nod ahead of Cabaye.
Starting line up was border line too attacking anyway. Agree with the guy above, pipe down.

The penalty was the right decision, Tompkin's card was unlucky but fair, I missed the Luka card but that's what Luka does. Can't see where the ref's gone wrong really.

Maybe should have booked Byram for that foul on Wilf just outside the area? It was pretty cynical.

Disappointing to be fighting for the game when we looked like we could have had two or three goals. Then again West Ham could also have had two or three and I don't think the penalty decision was wrong. Just a bit unlucky for Tomkins. Tomkins' yellow was a little harsh when you could see the replay but the ref only saw it in real time. As they say this game is wide open but I expect us to tighten up in the second half - which never fills me with confidence. Prefer it when we press and attack higher up. Lack of attacking options on the bench is a shame.

Not sure what’s happened to Wilf the last few games either but looks like he needs a little rocket up his arse. Not taking players on like usual and looks a bit half hearted at times. That little bit right at the end of the half was more like him.

Great that our striker has scored, but another injury to Sako, who's been like a new signing.

If it means Parish goes out and buys us a proper premiership starter quality striker, then i can roll with the punch

I can see plenty more cards in the second half. Although probably just for us given the refs apparent reluctance to book their players. Moyes has sent his team out to be aggressive and by and large it's worked for them. Zabayeta has always been an agricultural tackler and if he'd missed the ball that would be a studs up red card challenge.

I am worried that the fat ginger will injure Wilf with his aggressive style, but I suppose sometimes you have to let the kids grow up We looked out of sorts with such an attacking line up, so now with Cabaye on we might look more composed.

On a final note, it was great to see Tekkers get another goal.

I don't wish injury on anyone and tbh I really feel for Sako after the troubles he's had but I expect us (if we actually go for the win that is) to be a lot better in possession with Cabaye on in his place. He's offered us something in recent weeks no doubt and he has a hell of a left foot on him but in possession he still is nowhere near the required standard. I'd understand if we was using him as a target with Wilf running off of him but Benteke and Sako in the same team is only really a tactic for "doing a job" like against Burnley, were more than good enough to be better than that against this lot.

Absolutely, cheating little p***k is always trying to get opponents carded with his over reaction to any tackle. That may have been a foul but it didn’t merit a card - just two players going for the same ball, looking at the ball & colliding .

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!
