Wilf puts it on a tee on the penalty spot, with three of our players all crashing to the near post. Have a think about it, fellas!

You wonder if any of them actually have a 'footballing' brain that can read a game.... Benteke certainly doesn't!

His positioning - when he has time to think - is 100% wrong.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

That can be the case but these players should be in top condition and if it was such a big deal then why is it all the lower leagues can play more games and not have such issues.

the problem with these players now is they are soft plus they train to just play the match time.

other sports you train far harder without these breaks which is why they are in much better shape

You realise that the teams in the lower leagues are not as good, right? Just because they play more games doesn't mean they play at the same standard and of course they have the same issue. I'm pretty sure with the amount of sports science involved with top flight across the board that the training is tailor made for the sport which is played.

Look leggy and they look more solid than us. Knowing they could be back in the drop zone and a pep talk from Roy, let's hope for better in the 2nd. COYP !!

That just about sums up Benteke performance so far, about as much use as a chocolate radiator in a big freeze! we look poor and not likely to score!

We finished that half looking by far the more talented, footballing team. Hopefully a rest and an orange will set them up for the second half comeback.

A whole orange.....each.... wow! the power of the Prem

I used to have to cut them into quarters fro my brother's sunday league team......

In grumpymort’s case, it isn’t. But that won’t stop him. He’s like a turd that won’t flush.

On tonight's showing so far, Roy will need a whole new XI by your logic.

I'm daft but I'm not stupid! Hennessey has a goal to get tired in, the others have to run the pitch all day, 3 games in 6 days! where's YOUR logic?

Cabaye looks absolutely bollocksed.

That's the danger of a thin squad, whereas the likes of Citibank can put out a second 11 of top four standard.

We look knackered and that pitch isn't helping. It looks like a farmers ploughed field. I can understand why Wilf is so frustrated as he has put decent crosses into the box and no bugger is there.

Well that was pretty dire. HTF are we supposed to play football in these conditions? Weather barely playable, pitch like a f***ing pumpkin patch, two days after the last match and an opposition who had an extra 50% recovery time.

Given that it takes three days before the time between matches is ceases ca level playing field why is it beyond the wit of man to fix it so that matches are at least that far apart for each team? A 50% differential in recovery time < 3 days is hardly fair.

Top condition or not to play arsenal thursday, city sunday and the effort put into those games, I think to expect them not to be 100% 2 days later is very harsh.
Lower leagues may play more games, but it's not the same intensity as the premier league, and they certainly don't play 3 games in 6 days...
