Why shouldn't the focus also be on Brighton's inability to manage a crowd along with the police. Brighton decided to reduce the number of tickets, which backfired spectacularly but even then if it had been managed properly no ticketless fans would have been anywhere near the ground.

I'm still not sure how many ticketless fans there were. A dozen, 50, 250?

One can question BHA and the Police and they might reflect on whether in hindsight they could have acted differently.

However let this NOT deflect from the actions of those dastardly so called "Fans" whose disgraceful behaviour was reprehensible in the extreme.

Were you there? No, so stop going on like you know exactly what happened. You come on here with your holier than thou attitude and wind people up. Get over yourself for once and realise that a lot of innocent fans were 1, treated badly by the police and 2, didn't get to see the match. No one has said that certain so called fans were right so do us all a favour and get off your high horse for once ffs.

Steph, some people see in black and white and some in colour.

Elements of the story on the BBC made it very clear the authorities have a lot to answer for. And more than one person on this site has given us what appears an unbiased view that would make you question all sides in this debacle. If the Police couldn't contain what would appear to have been a small group of school children Lord help us when the grown ups kick off.

It's a shame not everyone reads what is placed in front of them.

He only reads what he wants and then acts like everyone else is at fault, it just frustrates me. Not one person has condoned the so called Palace fans that caused this but they were not the only ones at fault.

Think I'm going to log off before I say what I really what to say.

The fault lies 100% with the idiots pretending to be men and ruining the evening for a lot of Palace fans and locals.

Neanderthals the lot of them. Hope they get long, long sentences and banning orders if they are caught.

If this was Brighton fans at selhurst park, what would people be saying. Blaming the police and club?, or saying it was all the Brighton fans fault.....

They'd vandalise cars in side streets back to the station like Charlton. Anything else I couldn't care about much and not a problem to deal with.

The police were useless but one thing they spent all night doing was filming, well use it and identify these yobs by putting pictures of them up at the next home game and lets see if we can rid the club of them once and for all. Come on Parrish the ball is in your court
