Pulis assembles squads of ageing players for big money on big wages and is a short term appointment. Give him control and this is where it leads. Pardew’s just a tool. Not only a rubbish manager but also appears a deeply unpleasant and divisive person.. West Brom have sacked two senior figures and difficult to see how there can be much respect left for Nicky Hammond.

I think it is not necessarily the case that a manager is 'sacked' rather that he may not wish to continue anyway. The timing of the WBA announcement is good for Pards, he does not have to continue an impossible task, the die is cast there, some valuable time to consider his options. I often think why not employ a manager on a 3 month assignment anyway. Let's face it, it is a temporary assignment, why not recognise that............ Last year, on here, I had the temerity to suggest Big Sam may not wish to stay here. Result? Masses of abuse some in English. As we know he 'retired' a few days later altho it has not turned out to be the end of his career. I think he 'retired' so as not to give offence. Off topic but I think he is in for PVA...
