2 big ways to bust unfairness and protect the vulnerable is to tighten up tax avoidance and evasion and increase wages. Wages of course are rising at the lowest pay levels, even if it's very slow, which is no doubt safer.

Either that or become a high exporting economy instantly or not keep the very frail alive when there's money needed to support the unlucky or just irresponsible who think they have a right to certain life choices and circumstances.

The country has been mismanaged for years and the self interest in the here and now is a cause. When I hear people complain that their holiday has cost more than last year I have little sympathy. There are big issues this country has to face and until it finds a way for the economy to expand without relying on consumption and us spending money at House of Fraser or on cars on HP, it won't get any better. The country needs to be competitive and Brexit might do it eventually. I don't see it happening inside the EU.

I don't believe either can do it until big changes happen and it took years with a collective drive by the Germans. We're too wrapped up in ourselves to knuckle down like that unless the opportunity falls in our laps.

All valid criticisms.

A proper politician.

Philip Hammond's speech in brief:
"Corbyn's a bloody, raving Communist, but he could win. Oh, holy crap. The young are bailing from us. Oh, bugger. I have no new policies. Help. Can't get rid of May. Dammit.
Maybe a bit of red-baiting and a few sops in the budget will save us. Fingers crossed."

Very true Nick ....but the rest of your post is different to what I listened to and probably many other people listened to ???

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Where Corbyn was" I am the new messiah just say what you want I give you it f*** the cost,it's never worried us before."

Plus they want to give wage rises and still have unfettered immigration....even though that's one of the biggest causes of wages not rising.

The truth is that your useless party got us into the debt that the Tories have been paying off for their whole time in government and all the Labour w***ers can do now is snipe and tell us how their policies will make us all better off. The same stupid s*** that got us in this mess in the first place.

It is only because of young naive first time voters and people short of memory and or intelligence that your party still exists.
