Imagine if we had Shane long up front... Would give us that different central dimension. Think we should place a bid in January if we're not adrift.

Took a brilliant bit of play from Sane to break the deadlock. We are playing some nice stuff at times ourselves.

Put through Hennesey's legs at the near post. Hmmm. Tekkers has had a good few chances, offside, handball, poor first touch, etc. He has to be better. Tosun would've buried those. Edited by The_Dumps (23 Sep 2017 3.57pm)

Benteke is so noncommittal, it's infuriating. Other than that, a great half. Undeserved goal, if you ask me, and once again we didn't take our chances (x3). Much more encouraging overall - we have some fluid, forward play, and quick on the break without the team albatross pointing to empty spaces and doing the "go round in a circle with the ball and pass it backwards" trick. Let's hope Punch doesn't come on at HT. Or in the 2nd half at any point...

IF we can hit the ground running in the second half and keep up the good work, i'd imagine we can nick a goal or two. Just hope our heads dont drop as City will punish us. Must say hats off to Roy.

Just watching RLC's miss, why was Benteke standing where he was? Looking for a save-rebound? Can't help but feel AJ or Shipperley would have been at that far post ready to turn that in.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Best spell of play for the season so far. Shame we couldn't have lasted out to 0-0.

Have to say push RLC forwards to support Benteke, is working really well. What worries me, is our best player by far is from another team in the same league that doesn't even want him.

Edited by The_Dumps (23 Sep 2017 3.57pm) Didn't think it would be long before someone tries to blame Hennessey. How can anyone move forward with their feet together. Watch a bit more football and you will see loads of goals that go through keeper's legs, we scored two against Hull like that.
