Yeah, its got to be consistently good performances from now on. Trouble is Palace seem to play much better away than at home. Big Sam got Palace playing well at home too, and thats what Frank has got to do too.

Sans Sakho, were we crap under Sam.

10 home games: 13 points! W4 D1 L5. Better than we had been, but take out Sakho: and W1 D0 L4.

That's not exactly stellar.

This is why I think the problem is deeper than just the manager.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Still think it was an average Burnley team which made our 'possession' football look good. The defence is alright, it's the lack of penetration upfront which is the problem. That's despite the number of attempt on goal.

Really missed Zaha. With him and RLC back we can hope, but realistically next week is our only real chance to chalk something up before November sets in.

Pro lem was giving them the lead so early took the pressure off them to co e on to us more and focus on defence and counter. Terrible decision by Lee and arguably one of the 'best assist' passes you will see all season.

Like Swansea and Liverpool individual mistakes cost us points.

Better squad?? How does he work that out!! We have one striker in the squad that in itself is a joke. What happens when benteke is either injured or suspended??

And I think Benteke already has three yellows so it won't be long!
Parish however does not deserve to be trashed on twitter.
forget the past and saving the Club - there is no doubt that he cares passionately about CPFC and he only ever does his best.
He - like all of us makes mistakes but that does not qualify for abuse to be chucked at him through idiot trolls!
He says we stick together and so we must and so we will and hopefully with Sakho, Wilf and RLC back in the side we will be a decent unit again!

But society has to function with different levels of intelligence or skill or whatever it is. Not that you look down on them but they shouldn't have licence to think they can or should bring down an owner who isn't failing in everything, but really has no qualified help or expert advice.

I don't know about you but I certainly do.

Playing the wrong formation. Don't tell me you want him gone CPJ? You of "give him a chance" and "get off his back" fame!? Surely not.

Love that you start off an argument with "am I the only one who thinks this", and end it by posting almost exactly what others are posting on other threads.

That's because like most attention seekers they haven't bothered to read what others have already posted.

Surely it was Parish that persuaded FDB to play 4 at the back.
I think he probably misspoke on the buying Sakho for the fans. Obviously most of us wanted Sakho and Sakho loves us so perfect. Parish bought one of the best CB in the world. Simple.
Sure he failed on other transfers but I'm guessing it's not easy. Burnley Wood looked pretty crap from my seat.

Yeah awful if only we had the chairmen of Leeds, Cardiff, Birmingham, Blackburn, Charlton, derby, wolves, Forrest, Norwich, Ipswich, Blackpool, Preston, Wednesday, Sunderland, Bolton, millwall, sheff utd.

We've had it so hard these last 7 years with 5 seasons in the top flight an fa cup final, promotion at Wembley, numerous internationals in our squad. We're the biggest club in the world and deserve nothing less than Arabs who own a country and world record signings every transfer window. Go away parish you're so out of depth.

Have to agree with this...some of our fans do talk a load of bollocks at times. Be grateful for what we have.

I bet its the same fans that kissed SP's arse that are now questioning him, such is the way of the morden day fan...no pragmatism or realism.

Sure he could've got players over the line quicker; but we'd have had to pay more to do so.

I hope that now with DF in place as DoF that we'll be better organised for coming windows / pre season. If there's one area I would like to SP learn from it's that organisation breeds stability. Though TBF 2 of the last 3 seasons have seen managers simply walk and leaving us in the mire just as that stability was being acheived.

How good was Freedman in his last DOF role?

hear hear, cannot believe the Parrish slagging - UNBELIEVABLE. Congratulations for spotting he's not perfect - Holloway was considered a catch stepping down when he joined us - Parrish's fault for Doogie p*ssing off was it? Pardew surprised most people stepping down to our level, he made bad buys - what does a chairman do? pick his own players or be like Simon Jordan and pay 2.3 mil for Ade Akninbyi to back his manager? It's not easy, a lot harder than blaming Parrish for over paid dead wood like Chungy, Mutch and Sako, but some buys don't work out, is the chairman supposed to pay relatively low salaries with the benefit of clairvoyance. Maybe he rubs his bosses up the wrong way, but Sam RETIRED. We've had 15 years in the top flight in our history - we've been relegated in five of those seasons and there are only about 4 or 5 seasons where we didn't seriously flirt with the drop. We didn't buy too many players in the summer but we spent £34 mil and spent 40mil in January - wtf do some of you expect? Then include competitive salaries. It's quite clear with a bit of patience we'll come good, it's a poor start and speak what you see but keep the toys in the pram, we're only Palace, our natural home is probably second tier, I'd like to see more action from Parrish with the stadium, not everything's within his control, but 7 years without an inch of progress is not good enough, but let's have a bit of perspective, some posts read like whining children.

In light of recent events I feel I would like to qualify this statement and offer qualified apologies to those who were more critical of Parrish than me - I am not impressed with sacking someone just as he seems to be getting it right. We don't know the full story but this is a fiasco, and Parrish is looking a bit of a numpty out of his depth as many have been saying - really fancied us to do the Saints on Sat, god knows what the mood will be now.
