Pulls scuttled away leaving us in the s*** a few days before the start of the season he had no intention of starting with us. He lied to get his bonus and screwed the club over, SP was 100% correct to take him to court and won.

Sakho is injured yes I guess we could of stumped up the 30mill in June and payed him for two months of physio that LFC were picking the tab up for.

SP isn't perfect, but he has the clubs best interests at heart, would you swap with Blackburn and get some chicken farmers in to assett strip.

Well said. Saved me the trouble of writing the corrections to the previous post.

I guess from your terse and un founded accusations, you and many on here seem to think all these people have nothing to do all day and sit around twiddling their thumbs, not caring the world, that where they work has no effect on their wage packet and so do nothing of note.

It's worth noting that it was Phil Alexander who was partly responsible for the shambolic end to the Jordan era.

Parish signed most of the players for Holloway as he revealed after he left. But you'll say he would say that...

Parish was right to go after Pulis but I think Pulis was in the same situation Big Sam was put in though Big Sam handled it a lot better. Difference being he knew Parish wouldn't change and maybe Pulis thought he would?

As for Parish having the best interests of the club at heart so did Mark Goldberg!

Agree with this. The 4 of the original investors saved the club. We thank them for that but its not as if they haven't become fabulously rich(er) out of it.
Or will be when the day comes that they sell. We really need to stop the brown nosing of the chairman and look at the here and the now.
They've had all summer to get a striker, a goalkeeper and a centre half. One out of 3 not good enough no matter which way you sugar coat it or muddie the waters with tales of saving the club!

Lots of "I think" on the hol these days when people know nothing of what they talk about.

Please tell us exactly what situation Pulis and Big Sam were in that made them have to leave.

Parish has lost us 2 managers Holloway and Pullis over transfers, also had the audacity to take Pullis to court over his bonus payment, how much money have you received Parish for being in the premier league through Pullis keeping us up. Well done on getting Sakho you saved us a hole 4 Million when we could have had him from the start of the season and may be had some points on the board.

People say Parish lost us managers over transfers and yet we're what the tenth highest spending club in the division. Or even 8th taken over five years.

I just can't work out why people think we don't spend money on players.

We're not a selling club and keep adding better players.

So we still have holes in the squad and that's not perfect obviously, but it's not from a lack of not spending cash...

I thought we'd spend £40m this window and if Niasse hadn't fallen through we would have done.

Wilf huge new contract
Sakho
LoftusCheek
Fosu-Mensah
Reidwield

Yes we're missing a keeper and another striker. But the team is surely stronger now than end of the last window. And likewise has been every year Parish has been in charge.

So what you are saying is the man responsible for those hires isn't responsible? Just all bad luck I guess?

No he's not. He is responsible for hiring, a manager, along with the other board members but he is not responsible for Sam leaving and he is not responsible for Pulis trying to screw us over. Pulis is and so was Sam and for different reasons.

Pardew was an excellent signing at the time, everyone lost there minds when he came here. All the talk was of, why did he come here from Newcastle. Fans and media Alike and he did well. It was when he came that we got the likes of Cabaye etc.

So what's to answer? FdB, is a little different again from the others. SP did take a long time to appoint him, so if it goes wrong, then we can point the finger but why would we?. I would much rather sack any of the self serving managers we have had in the last few years before wanting a change of ownership.

The squad and quality of players and appointed managers has improved year on year since 2010 and long may that continue.

I understand we have also have a Head of Recruitment who is a gentleman called Tim Coe and Mark Bright in an advisory capacity.

With regard to the recruitment of de Boer I'd find it hard to believe that Josh Harris and David Blitzer weren't fully consulted and also wouldn't be surprised if they had been keen on a big name. However, that's only speculation on my part.

No not really, I admired Parish the way he played Jordan and hung him out to dry and bought the club on the cheap. It appears this is the way he does business as seen with player purchases, he ain't going to change.

I am not asking Mr P to change, he is a sight better business man then me.

I am just asking fans to stop harping on about him saving the club, every time they don't like what the next poster has written

Stop looking backwards and look forwards cant be much to ask for.

Not long ago, I can remember the bad times.
Now we are in the prem league .... how did we get there?
..... not sure ....

Got this far with my post then realised that I'd be shot down by people with a different outlook on life.
That's okay.... just happy it's not me.

COYP and thank you

Interesting comment you made that you "don't know if SP is good or bad at this job, but I'm sure he does what he thinks is right" as I'm sure that the same could have been said about Mark Goldberg and Simon Jordan and look where that left us.

It's not an interesting comment it's the truth. I don't know, neither does anyone else. All the out of his depth stuff is an opinion based on nothing but the feeling people think he's done something wrong. Yes I'm sure Goldberg and Jordan felt the same and we ended up in admin. If Parish does the same then we can safely say he's out of his depth. So far he's done better than the previous two put together, but who knows that may have all been luck?
Getting Wilf to stay wasn't too shabby, neither was bringing in RLC and TFM. As I've said bring someone else in, fine by me, but who? Careful what you wish for. It's beginning to get a lot like Charlton on here.
