Likewise. Have some of his comments been deleted as I couldn't see what he'd said that warranted a ban?

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

Yes. Couldn't you hear the jerking of knees?

Not over the sound of my screaming kids! I too frequently found Bubble good value but they both were idjits in that thread and brought Hol into disrepute.

i can't remember specifics but vaguely remember comments that homophobic chanting wasn't offensive from Parchmore and Bubble stated outright hostility to being around gay men. Apologies to both if wrong but the Mods must have seen summat to ban. People get away with murder on this board.

Personally I find your comment here outrageous.

If you don't like freedom of speech go elsewhere.

People have the right to be hostile about all sorts of things and you have the right to debate them on it.

I feel sad that posters have been banned for voicing their opinions. Parchmore was annoying but bubble was ok and went against the grain.
If they were banned because of pressure from other posters then that just reflects this dangerous society we live in.

Political correctness” refers to the use of various forms of social pressure to prevent words, ideas, and opinions from being expressed that are viewed by some people as offensive or harmful in some way (usually only to a group perceived as disadvantaged in society. Offense or harm to anyone perceived as non-disadvantaged is generally ignored, excused, or even encouraged).

Many expressed their annoyance in general terms that certain people had been less than politically correct but one poster in particular threw his toys out of the pram yesterday because no-one had been banned and it's sad if mods bow to pressure from someone who obviously doesn't believe in freedom of speech

Unfortunately, nowadays there are people who don't understand that You can be very unPC and still polite and decent towards people with whom you profoundly disagree. You can also be politically correct, aggressive and intolerant.

political correctness is not ‘all about politeness’. It’s about power, and always has been.

The fun of a forum like this is a bit like going to football. It's always better when there's agony and ecstasy. To occasionally find a like-minded soul you also need people of the opposite point of view with whom to have a knock-about.

That's why I prefer HOL to that other Palace site that shall not be mentioned.

As i said earlier in the thread everyone is entitled to their opinion whether we agree with it or not..Parchmore clearly didn't want to 'fall in line ' though... I'm not entirely sure why Bubble got carded though, maybe i missed it?
I do feel at times that there is no middle ground with the modding on here and that when it is enforced is largely retrospective and to be seen to be doing the right thing then actually doing so in a measured manner.

What, specifically, did I say that outraged you? I have and had no problem with debating any topic. You're an idiot, a simpleton, to come up with that rant on the basis of my trying to recall what someone said many weeks ago.

Freedom of speech is a myth. You cannot literally say anything you like and then claim it okay we have 'freedom of speech'. If you have mental offensive opinions, it's not okay to pop them on a forum and claim that you are debating an issue.
One of the posters your so sad you can't 'debate' with anymore made a disgraceful comment on that board, about the family stand, not really debating.
