I don't think you can say that until the transfer window is closed.

Hopefully there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to get players in.

I think I can:

"We bought our way out of it last season by bringing Sam in and the money we spent in January."

"We can't do that every year, we need to be smarter than that," said Parish.

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!

A lot depends on how you define being " smarter ". Does that mean spending big in the summer ? You may still find yourself needing to buy your way out of trouble come January.

I still think there is business to be done in this window in both directions.

I can't say I'm feeling entirely confident about the coming season and I certainly think we need to invest in more players, but let's see how the market plays out

To me being smarter is picking up points in as many games as we can .Game Management.
Pardew failed.Sam was excellent.
7 of our players have still not been with us a year.
The most anyone of them have played is 40 games.

They don't need to - nearly won the league so not short of decent players. We on the other hand are.

Similar situation to us at the opposite end. Great 11-15 or whatever. Far inferior back up their fans are all to aware of with more champions league games to come at Wembley which opposition will fancy.

4th favourites this season and Arsenal don't have champions league. It's a big deal now and aided Chelsea last season.

There will always be something to halt Spurs. Leicester, Wembley....

True Rudi but Arsenal are in Europa Cup so Thursday/Saturday for them.

Don't expect them to be playing their 1st XI. They will take the opportunity to knock Spurs out of the top 4.

But the top teams have invested quite heavily. The two Manchester teams, arsenal, Liverpool and everton as well have spent a lot. Spurs would be making a huge mistake if they think they can challenge again without strengthening their squad..

If Spurs are happy with there squad and the youngsters coming through, then there is no point in signing anyone.
Pep at Man City last Summer spent a fortune and City won nothing.
He has been out spending again.
Let's see how he does this season.

Tottenham will be playing their 'Home' games at Wembley this season and this could affect them adversely as it did W.Ham.
