Still shocked over Sam's bye-bye, but getting a new manager even before next fixture list (June 13th) would be awesome. Anyone who says Silva did a s...t job at Hull has not seemed them play that much. OK, 0-4 at Selhurst although they had a great deal of possession, Zaha (good) goal a bit of unlucky and should have had a penalty (Punch) on 0-1, was not impressive scorewise. Remember though, 2 last goals in dying minutes.
Have seen Hull play various games. Silva made a bunch of no-hopers perform well (at home), something we have struggled with for several seasons (in spite of the best fans in the land).
In short, would be very happy to see him in our dug-out the coming season (hopefully with a bubbling Sammy Lee by his side).

Lots of Palace fans getting excited about Marco Silva
WHY ???
Did you see him on the touchline at Selhurst a few weeks ago
He was totally clueless from our first goal to our fourth
We need a proven strong manager with a big personality
What players is Marco Silva gonna attract to the club ???

Lets get Ranieri in , someone who's won the Premier League , not someone who's been relegated !!!

You talk about clueless then you mention Ranieri

I know Silva is highly rated but that is all. If Mancini is a possibility then it has to be him, his currently favourite.

1. If ranieri hadn't of been sacked he would of relegated Leicester. 2. One of Silvas friends and contacts is Jorge mendes so he will have no problem attracting or recruiting players.

Its a good job some of you are not responsible for selecting our next Manager, lets leave to the board who seem to know something about football.

But we are all allowed to an opinion however misplaced or cranky.

no one had even heard of silva in 2016. Hes's still the manager that conceded 11 goals in last 2. They conceded a lot of goals from set pieces included when silva been in charge(not another pardew). 2 clean sheets in 14games. The pulis and Sam stint proves we need a solid structure.

He's all results achieved at hull in the prem:-

Jan 14th W 3-1 b'mouth - home
Jan 22nd L 2-0 Chelsea - away
Feb 1st. D 0-0 Man Utd - away
Feb. 4th w 2-0 Liverpool- home
Feb. 11th L 2-0 Arsenal - Away
Feb. 25th D 1-1 Burnley - home
Mar. 4th L 3-1 Leicester- Away
Mar 11th. W 2-1 Swansea - home
Mar 18th L 4-0 Everton- away
Apr. 1st. W 2-1 West Ham - home
Apr. 5th W 4-2 m' boro - home
Apr. 8th L 3-1. Man City - away
Apr. 15th L 3-1. Stoke - away
Apr. 22nd w 2-0 Watford- home
Apr 29th D 0-0. Southampton- away
May 6th L 2-0 Sunderland - home
May 14th L 4-0 C Palace - away
May 21 st L 7-1 Spurs - home

He may of had a poor squad to work with but trying to outscore the opponent isn't what we do successfully.

Where I would prefer mancini, dismissing silva is odd. The fact he made hull even resemble a premier league side was in itself a miracle. Remember, this is a club that had 13 senior players in august, had lost their manager, sacked another manager in December, got silva in but weeks later sold their two best players in Livermore and Snodgrass.

It's true, he looked lost against us in that last game but what was he supposed to do once 2-0 down. He has a lot to prove but quite frankly, with the other names out there I wouldn't be too sad if this happened.

Mancini was 16/1 on Tuesday after Allardyce quit. Now 17/10 - I would say he is the strong candidate, not Silva.

The only issue for me is who will form Mancini's backroom team if he does become Palace boss.

Potentially it could be Lombardo, but it would be great to think some of the staff that joined with Sam will stay.

The fitness and spirit of the players went up noticeably from January onwards - although every manager usually has in own favourites that follow from job to job.

My main worry is he is not a big enough character to control the egos in the dressing room. Also will he attract the big signings?

Very good point. I think handling the players is gauged on what success you have on the training ground and on the pitch. If they think he knows what he's doing, they will be ok. Ranieri at Leicester was ok, then they turned on him when things started to go wrong. I suppose only Mancini could probably handle the big names. I'm really nervous about the next manager appointment. It could be sink or swim time. So disrupting!
