That said, one of them ( from my club ) is now playing in goal for Newport County so what do I know.... I'd be careful about publicising that in the current climate. Mind you, could explain why no one's progressed from Sussex other than a striker who moved to Wales and thought he'd give it a go in goal. Hmmmm....Welsh goalkeepers?? It's all beginning to make sense...
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Lewis Dunk could be a real weak link for them in my book. Poor disciplinary record in the Championship and often clumsy in the challenge. With less time to think in the Premier League I can see him getting booked/sent off even more often. But he'll be on their list of players they see as already Premiership ready. Believe me he is. One thread stated that as soon as they get promoted "Dunky" will be in the England squad!! Also apparently their back 3 are going to be formidable in the Premiership.

On my way home from work yesterday saw a Brighton fan at East Croydon station. We saw each other's bench coats and had a chat. He said well done for staying up and I congratulated him on promotion (through gritted teeth)

I know it could bite me up the bum and it opens me up to all sorts of backlash, but I am very tempted to post the video of the open top bus on Facebook every time they lose next season. One of my Brighton friends (he's a proper one, only supports them and no one else) generally has no return banter. He can laugh along at me mocking almost every other football team in the world but as soon as I post an anti Brighton joke he just comes back with "You lot are obsessed with us". It's a fair comment, but not banter. He did some proper banter earlier and I gave him a very patronising pat on the back.
