There is also an old saying that 'A good workman never blames his tools'. But this is what Sam has been doing of late. I never liked Pardews 'me' attitude, however, believe it or not, I did see what he was trying to do. I also don't like Sams way of playing, but it's needs must at the moment. It's swings and roundabouts. I could see a glimmer of improvement in our defensive display yesterday, but lack of threat on goal. We could go on all day blaming everyone, but it won't make a lot of difference. A bit like the manager swap at the moment. Hardly anything has changed. But it has for Swansea. Does that make Clement a better man than Sam? So let's wait and see what miracle Sam can work, and wait to the end of the season to judge. I have a feeling that if we go down it will be all Pardews fault. But I think there is more to it than that, and with Sam being given the transfer window and plenty of time, lets hope he lives up to the hype that some people have poured on him. Edited by Flightsequence (22 Jan 2017 4.22pm) I think you're wrong.

It's a combination of Pardew and Parish's fault for me That is very true, SP cannot hide from the fact that AP should have been fired after the cup final as the last 19 league games produced just11 points which was not good enough, instead SP allowed his heart to rule his head and made a big error of judgement in both giving AP a new longer contract and the biggest spend budget 52m in CP history. I wonder what the American investors make of all this as they must be concerned about their investments in the championship, although hopefully Sam can perform a miracle and save us!

What worries me most is what's going on with our players? Apart from Sunderland the other clubs down there with us are starting to find some form. New managers are working for them. Like most of us I really don't understand and cannot explain how Palace have ended up like this. Something's very wrong with our team. It's not simply Pardew or SA. Are they confused? P*ssed off? Angry? Disheartened? Or just resigned to relegation? I feat that their confidence is so low they cannot respond to changes. Something or someone needs to inspire them and very fast. This isn't Palace I'm watching. Were you at the game yesterday? The team put in a decent and committed display.
Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it.. |

Pardew and Beaky have a lot to answer for. This mess is of their making and if Sam somehow manages to save us we should worship him as a hero. Negligence and arrogance has ruined what was a good team with a distinct style of play. P45dew getting a new contract was beyond belief, let alone keeping his job. Cup final or not. Even then how he wasn't sacked after Swansea at the latest was moronic by the club. The signs have been there all season that we'd end up in this mess but were predictably ignored. Let's hope Sam gets the players he needs before 1st Feb and can bring back the football that has always suited us. Yesterday showed he's starting to get there but we're not what we once were in the counter and of course our confidence is non existent when we go behind Big questions need to be asked in the summer

Our troubles date back to the time Pulis and SP dell out- why did it happen? Did Pullis want to suy players and pay the wages that would be necessary. AP came in after Warnock and his buys were a disaster. West Brom prove the point. Why do none of our team ever take a shot at goal? Delaney Puncheon even Lee are capable but no attempts mean NO goals. No Zaha and no Bolasie don't help If we do get relegated there is going to have to be a fire sale to get rid of players on 40,000 a week or more so get behind what we have got SA and our players

This is probably why we have approached circa 20 players with only one signing so far and if you think back all our transfers in the past they are usually very protracted and often agreed at the last moment just before the window closes. Then there is the Benteka saga where clearly Klopp thought he was not good enough but we were the only club stupid enough to pay the asking price of up to 32m and consequently we have ended up with a one trick player who is lazy and hates running around can't pass the ball or work it on the floor and is about the only 32mil striker who you can't bank on scoring from a penalty!
