If he'll consider Southampton then he'll definitely consider singing permanently with us I'd say. Then showing an interest is good for us I'd say. Forces us into action.

If he is settling in to the team and London life, etc and is happy and Southampton (and only other clubs of that size) show an interest? I would say we have every chance of signing him. We'd have to match their offer though. Would Parish be willing to after all we've shelled out recently?

There is only about a 5% chance he will sign for us. I can never remember a successful loanee every signing full time.
He will attract offers from a lot of top teams with prospects of winning things. In reality what can we offer him apart from a springboard back to a big team.
I believe top footballers have no attachment to a club, they will just go where they can earn the most and possibly win something.

Puncheon? Though I agree with your sentiment. Remember James Vaughan was great for us then moved on.

On the basis that we haven't conceded in 3 consecutive matches; each one he has played in and a starring role to boot, plus the amount of money we paid for Benteke and the performances he has delivered, I would say that Mr Sakho is good value at £ 20M.
Before everyone starts clambering on the 'a centre forward is always going to be priced higher than a central defender' soap box. Centre back is a key position in the team as being frugal + at the back is a key component of collecting points as we are now seeing. This guy is class, pure and simple and IMO should do everything possible to sign him up. Long shot I know.

The key is staying up. If we do and sako looks at the players we've got, the ambition of the board (get wilf to sign a new deal) and the other players we'd be looking to sign (M'Villa to start with is what I'm hearing, Defoe situation being closely monitored too alongside Kone) then objectively any player would think very seriously about joining on a permanent deal.

Heard SP say he is a player that he would happily shell out for.

Wouldn't be shocked if he signed for us full time.

It's far too early to say if we can sign him in summer. Firstly, we need to stay in division, if we do then I would say it’s a good possibility. Klopp doesn't want him back and will want the best money he can. However, Sakho has already shown he is a maverick would have to agree to any move so if he is happy at Palace he may hold out for a move. Therefore, matching a Soton bid may not be required. I could be wrong but I think is friendly with Benteke probably due to the shared Liverpool experience so their future at Palace may be intertwined. He is also not currently in French squad and as Cabaye showed regaining his squad place from Palace is possible

You are correct, He is close friends with Benteke. He is also friendly with Cabaye, Flamini and Steve for obvious reasons so there are good reasons for him to stay.
Slotted in very well
Big fish in a smaller pond
Can regain place in the French team -Cabaye has proved playing for Palace is not an obstacle to playing for France like it seems to be for England
He has friends here
He has already stated he loves living in London.
