Defending a bit suspect but Remy looks neat.

Cheers Bangell.

Bournemouth fielded 11 non starters,

no, they fielded a changed team just like Palace with a few regulars who were substitured during the game as expected. They were thrashed 3-0 while Palace are still in the competition.

No New injuries; no yellow cards; a clean sheet; some key and fringe players getting a run out; getting another one on 18 jan with more injured players scheduled to return from injury next week along with possibly new signings; some cash from the replay; a good chance to progress; and for once a bit of luck on our side.

I might be getting all silver lining on you, but there are positives from today

Agree with all this Silvertop, I am just glad we didn't concede in the 45th or 90th minute, replay now to give some fringe players a good run out in front of a home crowd.

Positives Remy and Speroni's appearance.

Clean sheet against a good Bolton team, no injuries, no cards, decent competitive run out, is good. Had we been flying high in the PL, I would have been disappointed. But we aren't.

Just seen the highlights. Nice to see Jules between the sticks and make a decent save when called upon. Remy looked dangerous and unlucky not to score when hitting the post. This chance showed that Campbell isn't up to it, any decent striker would of swept that chance first time into the net or at least hit it first time on target.

Clean sheet that is unusual. Plus record appearance for julesa is about bloody time. Result doesn't surprise me and we could do with another practice game

Dont think we can judge BFS yet, but certainly a very poor start

Looks like you are! He still has had very little chance to improve things, FFS give him a chance.

Oh I'm looking forward to seeing Remy and Benteke playing together..

If they can get there eye in, we may start climbing the table.

Quality from Remy along side Benteke might get the best out of him.

And a clean sheet at last time, thanks to Jules and the woodwork.

All positive,

Reply should give fringe players another run out and help Sam assess the squad.

To have them both on the pitch is an exciting thought - but they will be no good with this constant Kelly/Delaney/Tomkins just hoof it up and hope for the best. I personally thought Flamini was man of the match. An actual footballer who looks for passes and moves the ball forward with his feet! A welcome change IMO and I would like to see him a regular starter.
