i talked to refs i know, one who will next season be refereeing in the fourth tier, he is 28 he has 5 years to get to the top leagues, that his when the refs are at there best supposedly,as someone said it is hard to get down graded and yes i think thats wrong,
there bad refs and really bad refs, so once var comes in and it takes 4 hours for a game, we get all decisions correct, then what are we going to complain about after a game, we will all be to tired and going to bed

Well since refs get suspended or demoted about as often as my cat greets me in Japanese one can see you have to do pretty badly to fall below the pass mark. Or are you really telling us that a club that's been clearly wronged, and has said as much in its presser to that effect as is allowed, "can't be bothered to fill in the form" to report serious incompetence? Pull the other one. Anyway if that's the case it's clear that the referees are s***e but aren't getting called on it, and that the system doesn't work. Quod erat demonstrandum.

And how often have we seen refs give things that they quite clearly can't have seen but have simply guessed? Wilf "diving" the other week, for instance.

they are told they must be %100 sure before they give a foul or not,it does stand out when they are guessing we have all seen it and heard it when the ref doesnt listen to his linesman(old school)

He even admitted to thinking about his record refereeing us as he was doing so? If he was impartial, why would this matter? The least we should expect from a ref is impartiality but it often looks like there is a bias towards sides, in my opinion.
This was also backed up by research a few years back. Refs need a major shake-up.
My conjecture is that, when the Premier League started controlling their own refs, they were told to make the games 'more entertaining'; hence the controversial decisions every week.

all leagues control the refs they have, all the way down to sunday football

He rejoices and celebrates his own fvcktitude with the passing of filthy lucre (or should that be lycra ?)
money, you know what I mean.

Going by some slang definitions on on-line dictionaries, Mark Clattenburg is the epicentre of cvntishness, in my opinion.

After all, the game of football is about opinions, and even Mark Clattenburg has been wrong on a couple of occasions.

My opinion is just timeless, and undeniable, in this instance

Having already had one post deleted for, I assume (as no one told me), daring to suggest a member was trolling and should be carded accordingly (which I stand by), I still support my assertion and opinion that the system is broken when a ref gets so much publicity and airtime - often a lot more so than a number of the players we all actually pay to go to see. We don’t pay to see that bell!
That, in itself, should be a reason to be cautious.
Regardless of the assessment process (which should work and I agree should be behind closed doors) the fact that this bloke is allowed by the football authorities to bang on and on and court so much negativity from so many supporters of so many teams is disgraceful. They have allowed him to bring the profession into disrepute (in my view).

I must have been wrong in thinking PGMOl controls refs and the Select Group ones ref the Premier League. I could be wrong in thinking there have been no new Select Group refs and no English Refs have recently been promoted into international refs. I must also be wrong that Mark Halsey accused PGMOl of instructing him to fabricate match reports whilst a select group ref.

you are and your not, the system is set to allow refs normally young ones to progress this is started from grass roots, sadly we are losing that because of what we say and do to young refs means the pot is getting smaller,
the abuse they receive for making one or two mistakes is unfair yes they shouldn't but could you work with thousands of eyes watching you, remember they got this all the way up the ladder, even with threats of violence,so you will get some like Clattenburg who are thick skinned and arrogant, and you will never get a ref who doesnt make a error or two,its just the nature of the beast
why do you think lower division players wont come forward to ref once they call it a day, because its easier to criticize than do the job themselves

I don't mind a ref who makes an error or two. The ones I object to are the ones who either a) make errors by the f***ing boatload or b) are shall we say not exactly impartial.

How do you know your cat isn't trying to speak Japanese? I wouldn't put anything past mine. He's pretty clever.

very rare you get a ref make boat loads of mistake, but big teams seem to get a lions share of major decisions in there favour,
Had a argument with my brother over this, he said reason they get more is because they are attacking more, just pointed out its is either a foul or its not. nothing todo with who attacks the most,
so lets hope next season we see players not running up to the ref telling him what todo, and refs dont make wrong major decisions against us
