Yep. We have now sunk lower that low. I understand the need to get a manager who will keep us up. And he probably will. And then possibly get us some decent finishes during the next 2 and a a half years (if he stays). But I don't like the idea of appointing someone who was sacked as national coach for immoral reasons (and alleged other stuff). His appointment sticks in my throat. It makes me feel dirty. But I will still support Palace. I was born that way. Well said and sums my feelings up exactly. I wish him every success with us, but a bit of my Palace Soul has died.
Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune) |

I wish you well in your further recovery from whatever you've been suffering from. Better to feel however dirty supporting a prem club than a has been that tried virtuosity and failed, and never to return. Cheer up. The idiot who wasted a great opportunity has gone.

Some people need to grow up on here. Give it a couple of wins and they will be singing, big fat sams red and blue army. How people can take the moral high ground when it comes to football is beyond me.

Can't be asked to read through the thread but what integrity ffs we're a football club not political party or religion. I want our club run by cut throat businessman that ensure the best for us. Like it or not it's a business if you want integrity you should give up following football now. You would all be knocking one out if we signed suarez.

His appointment is logical and is not lacking integrity. He's here to keep us up, Pardew has shown he is not capable. We have a manager much like Pulis just with a better squad of players then pulis had which won't limit us as much.

How people can take the moral high ground when it comes to football is beyond me. Lots of the pro Pardew camp are throwing temper tantrums over Allardyce being appointed and not going for Mancini on social media. It's really quite sad to see several snowflake fans upset over a seemingly logical decision that will 100% keep us up come May 2017. Granted, the football won't be pretty, but if we have to go back to basics, then so be it. Give him a chance in the transfer window and we'll see what he can do.
"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!" |

I agree with the OP, this club has stooped so low, its embarrassing. Absolute 100% gold plated bulls***!! Allardyce is the one AVAILABLE manager who could/ will keep us up! Do I like him? Not particularly BUT how many of you thought Benteke was the devil incarnate after his dive to win the bin dippers a penalty? How many of you now chant his name at matches? Football is like that, we all " hate" opposition players until they sign for us then a miracle happens and we love em! How many slagged of Snodgrass for his appalling comedy dive? But there are plenty on here calling for us to sign him in the transfer window.....short memories eh?
