Too late to dig Fergie out of retirement? It would be a hell of a ride over the next few months if we did! Wilf would love it!!!

We have tried to evolve our style a little too quickly an it hasnt worked. We have played some really good stuff in spells but dont have the quality players necessary to match the top teams. I hate losing every week it really ruins the weekends so I think we HAVE to return to being a Solid, hard to beat team that everyone fears playing. The occasional attritional victory over the big boys has to be good enough for now.
So I think Big Sam is the Best option. I think he's a better manager than he is given credit for. Bolton played decent stuff and Sunderland surprised a lot of people last year. I think he will be given the backing bySP and might end up doing well for us.

We've always liked a character down at the Palace - Big Sam is certainly that - All he needs now is a fedora!

At the moment we are in a dog fight to stay in this division.

No way in the world is Mancini the right appointment at this stage. You need someone like a Pulis who can go back and reorganise. If you are struggling you work with what you have which is what Pardew was unable to do.

Big Sam in a heartbeat. His football isn't as dull as people make out. Christ I remember Trevor Francis. Compared to him Sam is like Pep Guardiola.

Many decades ago, Arsenal bribed their way into the top tier of English football. Since then, they have become one of the world's most storied clubs and that episode is trivia in their incredible history.

Big picture is that BFS is the safest bet to transforming the club by keeping it in the PL. I think we could have taken a riskier option earlier but perhaps not now.

Is it tasteless? Sure but it's just how it is.

You don't have to support him personally or like him or sing his name. I don't and I won't. But managers and clubs are not one and the same thing and if he gets wins he'll make me and most of those around me happier.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Sam Allardyce? We've come a very long way to end up in such bankrupt hands.

Spend whatever it takes to get Eddie Howe. Failing that Sean Dyche and then Chris Coleman . Only managers I would try and poach. Out of work - I'd like us to have a punt on either Ryan Giggs or Gary Neville. Gary Rowett possibly.

Just don't want Fat Sam anywhere near our club.

Agree with you re Fat Sam. But much of the rest of your post is in Serious Wally Alert territory - as usual...

Yeah, because SP is a really good judge of managers...he himself has been sussed now, the lucky streak is over.

Hilarious that some of the most vocal Pardew Out posters are now not wanting any of the names that are most likely to take over.

You got your wish now let's see the consequences.

Exactly this, you know what your getting with him, great man manger, route one football, with our squad and his experience he will keep us up and then next season the same fans crying for Pardews head will be the same ones moaning weekly about our negative football and grinding out results.

I'm not looking forward to watching hoof ball for the next couple of years.

Firstly I go to support palace, secondly I want to be entertained with good football, o well at least I still get to achieve one. allardyce won't take us forward. We will remain a bottom half team all the time his here.

At least the modern fan can boast down the pub about how much TV money we've got and how we have the 16th most expensive squad in Europe zzzzzzzż

Ridiculous. We played plenty of hoof ball under Pardew. It takes more than 4 years to be an entertaining, established top 10 team in the PL. I class winning more than 6 out of the next 38 games as moving forward, and I think 'ol moon face pint o wine will deliver that and a mid table finish. Fine by me
