Thank God for this result. Can he please live up to his streaky reputation now and win a few in a row?

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

3 points and a clean sheet - well done Pardew, you've saved your job. Still think a loss against Hull would be unacceptable but hoping we're starting to fix our problems and heading for better form.

Great to see 3 points and an added bonus of a clean sheet. Let's hope we can build on it against Hull. COYP !!

Thank goodness.

Now I can buy the Christmas presents and not be in such a bad mood all week!

At least for the next 7 days I will have a smile on my face...

Well that is a resounding result and we had some luck for a change but a disciplined defensive performance which conceded few threats to an in-form side - just a couple of shots on target I think. And none of the usual silliness at the end.

Welcome to Palace. Lose six on the trot, lose to the relegation contenders, then Southampton, who always beat us in the league, come to Selhurst and we stuff them three - nil. You couldn't make it up.

And it even looks as if AP has turned over a new leaf. It'll take more than this to make me eat all my words, but no stupid or unnecessary subsitutions - two of the three just to waste time - a revised defence and some proper discipline and concentration.

Very well summed up my friend. As jammy as pardew is for getting a win today, probably saving his job and forcing us to put up with his classic up and down performances, it is nice to have a good win and see the players actually looking up for it. That thumbs up between pardew and parish at the end summed them up perfectly, all buddy buddy. So far in each others bum holes. Good win today though

The simple defensive change that has been obvious for weeks seems to have made all the difference. What Delaney lacks in ability he makes up for in heroics, which is what you need after 6 losses and Ward looks fairly comfortable at LB (well, compared to Kelly anyway!)

Puncheon dominated the midfield in the second half and Bentenke put a good shift in. Also, is it just me or has Sako lost about four stone?

Great result and I'm hoping as one of the lonely supporters of Pardew that this will see a reversal of fortunes.

Yes agree, but this is a good base to build upon but we still need more! however likewise I'm happy to eat my words if this can be repeated next week, proves we can defend when we have to, so hopefully this will be a step in the right direction, well done team and AP!
