Like who exactly? £30m will buy one hell of a player and I believe Steve Parish and Big Sam have a good idea who to try and bring in if not a couple of good players.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Do you think these players would still play for the honour of their country if their club were allowed to withhold their wages for the period? So to be fair the club then wouldn't be able to bump up the price because the player is a full international.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha announced in Ivory Coast squad for Africa Cup' by jamiemartin721 Wilf's game has gone up a notch this season and it would be idiotic to sell him. Not like we've missed Bolasie.

Wilf has the right to choose who he want to be English or African, at the end of the the day its this country that and CP that has made him the player he is today, loyalty is very important its his decision on how he is seen for the future good like Wilf an important decision wherever you decide the future lies?

Yeah but it's a disaster for us. Our form player disappears for up to a month... The club should refuse to release him.they pay his wages and it is far more important he stays and helps the club to mid table safety, which is far more important!!

England should have taken an leaf out of the US playbook. Cap tie him and then never call him up. You can keep him hanging around just in case you need him.

They can't - if he's called up & doesn't go he gets suspended from club football for the duration of the tournament. However, IF he 'picked up a knock' against Swansea and couldn't go due to injury then, I'm guessing, he'd miss the cup game at Bolton (& possibly Wet Spam) then be ok as IC would have had to name their squad & be out there as first games are on 14th.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |
