That's the answer, replace a proven Premiership goalscorer with someone who has never played in the Prem, and has hardly kicked a ball in anger for a year.

I cant believe that our constant injuries are all just bad luck! Its almost as soon as a player puts on a palace shirt he gets injurd!
Following Palace since 25 Feb 1978 |

Injuries happen period!our biggest problem is we don't have depth. The dream is we make it to January fairly injury free. But important we add in Jan. IMO Pardew is still clueless!!! ..Pardew does not operate utterly and completely on his own, you do realise this don't you.

Cabaye and Remy are at the stage in their careers where problems are going to lead to retirement, bad injuries often put pressure on other parts of the body through compensation movement and when in a situation of being so finely tuned as all players are now these particular players are at an disadvantage due to this, they really need much much longer to recover and are always brought back too soon, + bad injuries have an awful psychological effect on the injured because they will forever be worried about the movement of their injured parts and that can in many situations actually lead to a bad movement and another injury.

Physios are involved post injury as are the medical staff There is an argument around training methods, boots, pitches etc but that is far bigger discussion than Palace, it is football as a whole. I think you're right. I know it could be a bit blinkered, but I really don't remember this many injuries in the 90's. How many Darren Anderton's are there in our team, let alone the prem! Better diets, less matches (smaller leagues and less replays), so why is there such any endemic of injuries?
Check out our Croydon-based football comedy series 'Road to F.A. Cup'! |

I'm honestly starting to think certain posters are Newcastle fans. I div'n hav nay ideya wha ya talkin' aboot man.
Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Sack the Medical Team' by james03 8 of the 25 are out injured. Also take out the 3rd keeper and that's over a third of the squad not available and we're having to include Flamini who last kicked a ball in anger months ago. Something is amiss somewhere.

Something is amiss somewhere. I thought we had 7 out? Why are you taking out Speroni? As I said in another thread there are 9 other team including City, Liverpool, West Ham who all have more injuries. We are mid table re injuries so about average
