If he was still at the club, he would start every week.

He is not at the club, the Pardew lunacy took hold and he was sold.

The OP is right, we have spent fortunes trying to reinvent a wheel and come up with a statue.

It is the worst bit of business ever.

Yes we shouldn't have let him go but, for what ever reason we did. Unfortunately we cannot turn the clock back and we must move on. I do feel it is getting very tiresome with the threads about Murray and Gayle. Perhaps more energy should be channelled into supporting what we have, whether we like it or not.

Murray would have had a hatrick yesterday , if they hadn’t given the penalty to the other pr*ck.
quality quality forward that will play until he is late 30s , probably 40, never had any pace so won’t lose it, sheingham like.
Has forgotten more about forward play than most of ours know.
The hair thinning ex non league northerner was replaced by a younger better looking more up to date version , smothered in tattoos.
Murray is up there with Johnson for me , oozes quality and draws fouls similar to Kane. So clued up and slippery.
Apparently he wanted to leave as he wanted to play football, that flash 2 bob c*nt pardew must have told him he wouldn’t be playing.
The cost of letting him go and trying to replace him, would probably have paid for the new stand.
For those that ask for us to stop talking about him, we will, when we’ve got an adequate replacement , or he retires. Not sure what will come first.
Still gutted. Top top player.

The season before he left he beat West Ham on his own and jumped all over the best Center back in the world (Kompany), he walked of shaking his head, didn’t know what had just happened to him.

I agree with every word of this. Making Murray feel unwanted was the most stupid thing ever. However I decided to "let it go" in the words of psychiatrists and thought I'd got over it when Muzza missed a sitter against us last season. However his goals yesterday are bringing me dangerously close to a relapse! Arrrgh!!

Good God, the mind boggles sometime in why such posts as these are still open.

How much have we spent on strikers since Ian Wright left? In my opinion we’ve never replaced him. Disgusting.

GM was sold to Bournemouth where he could not get a regular start he then spent a season in the Championship getting his fitness back he would not have been the GM we see now had he stayed because he would not have had the games as CB was scoring. Hindsight says we could have loaned him out for a season to get those games but it was a risk and you can not blame the club for taking the money.

We haven't actually ... we don't have a forward who can score goals.

As someone else said ... a very bad bit of business probably initiated by Notsosuperafterall Al.
