I don't think Zaha has the awareness or presence to play centrally. It worked at the tail end of the promotion season but Pardew tried it once or twice last season and Wilf looked lost. Zaha hasn't really been put on the left much since he came back, seeing as Townsend also prefers being on the right, it will be interesting to see which of them is forced to play on the left.

Having Zaha, Yala and Townsend all fight for 2 Places will make all three of them better players. My team would currently look like

My team would currently look like DD was awesome last season, has a strong bond with Dann and still has plenty of juice in the tank to rack up more MotM performances for at least one more season. Which is why we should be looking at the lads from Wolves, or similar. They can be integrated through the season in order to graduate in to DDs slot when he leaves to finish his career at [MK Dons?] with the club's and fan's best wishes.

If we can get benteke over the line now, can you imagine our team next year! All we need is one of the wolves lad, preferable iowfa as he really does look a good prospect. We could possibly do with another CAM or soure cover but I would be quite content with benteke

I agree. But we do need backup, and Delaney is old now; if he were to be injured for a few months we'd be screwed.

But when you come up against the likes of Rashford (who made Delaney look Sunday League in the cup final) then we might need a more mobile CB and definitely someone more long term.

Now that Brede and Marriappa have gone, a centre back is a must. Delaney has been brilliant and is firmly in place as my man crush but he aint getting any younger
