Sorry if this has been asked already. Am I able to use an apple tv for this kodi? Or am I better off purchasing a firestick?

You can use it on different platforms. Install links in the link. Dunno about picture quality, which was my question re: PC vs Kodi box.

There shouldn't be a difference between the two. The clear advantage of a dedicated box though is that you can watch it via your tv or as in my case the AV receiver so I get 3D films and 7.1 surround on a lot of stuff. Streaming over Wi-Fi wont be as good as having a dedicated Ethernet cable though.

A89M as for your question Kodi for Apple normally requires you to jailbreak the device as Apple are such retards when it comes to their ecosystem.

I'd go for the firestick or android box option.

The best option (if you can afford it) is to run it off a computer (I use a mini mac that I bought second hand) although an old laptop with HDMI out works well too!
If you are computer savvy get a raspberry pi from Maplins and use that.

Hope this helps.

Hi Guys,

The problem with free services is that they get overloaded and usually require upgrading every month just to keep the streams working.

Also there is no consistency in they way the streams are encoded and decoded meaning your android box/laptop will end up with numerous different programs that are required behind the scenes that to watch a stream.

There is a better way although not perfect.

You can sign up for a expat tv service that also has sports channels that cover every premier league game.

I use this service and it works very well, is it perfect no. Is it the best I have ever used yes.

They do a free trial, so you can test the system out before you buy. Also there is no large up front payment. Just a monthly sub.

Just my 2p worth,

Funnily enough I use this system here in Thailand and know from friends in the U.K it works fine there as well.

Been using it since May of last year and very happy.

All terrestrial channels from U.K. All Sky channels (including movies and sport); Setanta; BT Sports; UK Play (Alibi; Gold; Dave; Drama etc) in fact around 200 UK channels and HD.

Add to that to ensure cover for Saturday 15:00 matches they have Asian sports channels that cover these with English commentary - Astro Sport; CTH; True Sports; beIN Sports + Fox Sports.

I was paying around GBP35 per month for first True and then CTH - this service costs me less than a tenner a month.

Same as normal TV so no terrible streams and constant buffering and very easy to use which is important for a technophobe like me.

Well worth getting in touch with them - nice guys too and British.

Sorry if this has already been covered (bit pushed for time to read entire thread). I don't have box but subscribe to Streamtvbox (£10.99/month}. 99% of the time no buffering problems but watching in HD on a 28in Mac Retina is near perfection.

Seconded. No f***ing about looking for a certain match or it going down. They have screenings from 3 or 4 countries for matches so it's not just Prem League Pass.

check out the youtube videos for adding 'tvaddons' - this will take you through step by step how to install the repositories where you will find the films/tvchannels/whatever that you want to watch.

I'm putting together a budget movie theater in my living room.

Bought a 720p projector £140
5.1 Surround speakers £40
Android tablet £50
Asus Miracast dongle £30

I've installed kodi on the tablet, have everything I could ever need at my finger tips.

The dongle allows me to send the signal from the tablet to the projector with no drop in quality or breaks, it's shaping up to be a glorious set up

Firstly, Ouzo Dan, that sounds like a great setup. Beer fridge within reach and kettle chips and peanuts aplenty, sorted

Ahead of the new season, I wanted people's opinion on the best current build. I was using Tony Butterworth (TB Build), but, it seems to be discontinued. Best suggestions most welcome for the usual sports, movie coverage etc.

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.
