"Football Violence Memories"

It can hardly be clearer what this thread was about.

Therefore, I am genuinely interested: Why have you both read it?

Edited by Kermit8 (10 Dec 2013 3.56pm)

Just another item in the long list of things we are supposed to 'celebrate' these days, and such items need challenging.

As Kermit says if you don't like the subject why read it.
The clues in the title you mug.

What, you going to kick my head in if I keep posting? By the way, you need an apostrophe in 'clues'. Also, the title does not suggest that all the postings should be glorifying the mindless violence; so postings critical of mindless yobs beating each other up should be valid.

Thank F--k i don't go any more because of w--k-rs like this prick.i would like to meet you one day and show you what it was like.

Glad to see that the 'enrichment' of this country from the likes of Budapest is not all on-way.

Also glad to see that you have made a spelling/grammar mistake after you pompously had a go at someone else for missing an apostrophe.

You appear to be a very charmless man.

Well, you know, at least I don't glorify kicking people to death.

That someone needs to come on to this discussion with the moral high ground is beyond me. And the spelling police - please. It's made me bite.

Please go away...now.

Whatever happened to my son Tommy Black

It's what thousands and thousands of men (Teens)all over the country did at football back then Palace were never in the major league of hooligans tho.
These are memories of people that were in varied levels of involvement.
I never whacked or kicked anyone who wasn't looking for it.
I even steamed in to a load of Palace fans who saw fit to attack an Ipswich fan whilst he was walking along Whitehorse rd with his girlfriend!

I was hit and battered by a few when out numbered!
got bashed up by a 40 something Tottenham fan trying to take the Holmesdale when I was 16!

I'm not trying to say it was right but would I change it if i could go back?

I saw a well known Wilton face sucker punch a totally innocent away fan in Thornton Heath High Street once. Used to think he was alright but went right down in my estimation that afternoon.

If he was a Man City fan he knocked over an old man to the ground out side the George so got a full on punch on jaw which put him on his @rse!! it was witnessed by a neighbour who grassed me up to my old man!
I got a telling off and warning! then went to see my then girlfriend to find out to my horror both her and her Mum saw me connect with my punch from the top deck of a 50 bus boy did I get the riot act from them!

But then again I wasn't a well known Wilton face

Here y'go...

Recognise T.Elsie in the front with the top around his waste. Is that Clive Flemming behind?

Remember elsie well, last game of that season 81/82 we played Newcastle at home and it kicked off on the pitch after the game.
Elsie was fighting some big Geordie and the old bill went to nick him so he had it on his toes and almost got away but for some c*** of a steward to trip him up with a corner flag.
Last I heard he had gone to live in Australia but that was years ago.
Nice fella and always well turned out him and his little lot.

Monks Hills Lads, Always had a hardcore of Palace fans.

I think the tall bloke behind the black fella is with the blokes with the Coulsdon flag at the back of the Homesdale, block C or D. I don't think he's ever stopped going, well not for long.

I always thought elsie's first name was kevin.
He and the lot he knocked about with were the first lads I saw over palace with wedge haircuts, , always stood in the artfur waite enclosure early 80s.
I didn't no they were from monks hill either.
He used to knock about with a geezer called malcolm if I remember.

Anyone remember a tall blonde lad nicknamed Snowy who used to go in the AW enclosure in the 80's?

I used to stand near him and his group back then, don't know if he was a 'face' but I remember him being at the centre of the banter and singing.

Is he the same bloke who got run with all the Palace, by the ICF in the AW, the same game Billy Gilbert got a 30 yard screamer ?
