Way before my time but have heard enough tales of his exploits to appreciate his huge contribution to Palace folklore.

A true Palace legend, RIP.

Went to many away games in the seventies when Big Mal and team (and the woman he was with at the time)would ride back from away matches on the Palace train...They would walk through the carriages for photos, autographs and chats and a few beers…...great times....and like many on thread I to had a fedora...Rest in Peace Big Mal....

There are no legends in football, but there are good memories...

true story, just after big mal had been appointed manager, a friend of mine was walking along norwood high st, a rather large jag pulled up alongside him and the window rolled down, malcolm allison called across to my mate, excuse me but where the f*ck is crystal palace ?
on looking back the guy dropped us two divisions but raised the profile of this club immensley, hence no negativity from any poster on here, i remember those days with immense gratitude and pride in what he gave to this club, will always be grateful he graced this club with his presence, god bless big mal
