The scale of mental illness can be quite staggering.

A narrative taking precedence over any fact or objective analysis in this day and age, perish the thought!

I have no idea where the facts lie in this instance however, though I'd find it easy to believe those pushing this do not, nor did they spare a thought for them, either.

Let's just get Jackie Chan to star in the film...

Many Egyptians were upset recently at the Netflix? show about Cleopatra as the actress was black. Any student of ancient history will tell you that she was not black.

Egypt maybe part of the continent of Africa but they don't consider themselves Africans they are more closely aligned to the Arab world.

So why is it that some groups push the idea that Egyptian culture is African?

I maybe cynical but if you look further south into proper Africa their history hasn't left much in the way of cultural icons. Ethiopia certainly has some impressive stuff but unlike Egypt there aren't that many great cities or civilisations in the rest of the continent.

This is odd considering that Africa is one of the places where civilisation started and if you compare it to the region of modern day Iran and Iraq which came later they very quickly built up about a dozen significant empires from Babylon to the Hittites , Parthians etc etc.

So my guess is that some people can't accept that some African cultures didn't really produce much.

Just for completeness. Dr Moamina Kamal of Cairo University Medical School has suggested that Khufu's pyramid was a truly nationwide project, with workers drawn to Giza from all over Egypt.

Effectively, it seems, the pyramid served both as a gigantic training project and - deliberately or not - as a source of 'Egyptianisation'.

Mainstream scholars reject the notion that Egypt was a white or black civilization; they maintain that applying modern notions of black or white races to ancient Egypt is anachronistic. In addition, scholars reject the notion, implicit in the notion of a black or white Egypt hypothesis, that Ancient Egypt was racially homogeneous; instead, skin colour varied between the peoples of Lower Egypt, Upper Egypt, and Nubia.

The original inhabitants of the Nile Valley were primarily a variety of indigenous Northeast Africans from the areas of the desiccating Sahara and more southerly areas. Whilst Egyptian society became more socially complex and biologically varied over time, the ethnicity of the Niloto-Saharo-Sudanese origins did not change.

No one can possibly know that. It's pure conjecture.

More importantly, Cleopatra was not Black and even more importantly, she has as much in common with the pyramids as we do with her. She was born two and a half thousand years after they were supposedly built.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I'd thought I'd post this here again just as a reminder of how fallen America is from its past.

Biden was that new batch of politicians in America who turned a an already corrupt system into a completely lobby and wall street bought and sold one.

When you look at how rich these politicans are you see that it's not from their public wages. The are on insider information on the markets and completely in the pay of a particular foreign lobby movement....who is their greatest bank account ally.

They are quite happy to ruin America's position in the world...built up via previous generations to ensure they continue to enrich themselves.

It reminds of of what Enoch Powell said after his 'rivers of blood' speech. In his autobiography he said that plenty of conservative MPs came to him and said they agreed with what he had said but that they knew that the changes would take decades and they didn't want to ruin their careers.

Basically 'I'm alright Jack' destroyed Europe. The growing disconnect between the ruling class and their people means that eventually the whole house of cards falls. You will own nothing of consequence and your money will be digital with what you can spend having to be approved by the state.

It's why they hate figures like Orban so much. If you stand against their agenda for Europe and the west they are out to destroy you.

"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what anything can do for me so I can exploit it to the maximum degree".

I've had an aversion to voting in recent years, only doing so where I consider there to be a 'lesser of two evils'.

The declaration that politicians lie etc., especially in the states, will be no revelation however I do find it bemusing those who wholeheartedly support and defend an individual whose singular aim is to benefit themselves, often or even at your demise.

I consider Biden to be the worst of these in literally saying anything that will give or keep him in power. His senility cannot be used as an excuse as his track record was there as a younger man. I don't think he gives a singular policy or statement any thought beyond 'what purpose does this serve for me'. He has also made appointments to please and therefore maintain the support of the indoctrinated too. He's certainly not alone there but possibly the worst for it, a 'poster boy' if you will. He heads up the prime example of creating an illusion for the masses to benefit the few.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Well done. ‘It seems’ does indicate informed conjecture

I don’t remember discussing Cleopatra

No, you just rambled on with irrelevancies and guess work.
