Imagine opening the new stand and at the same time unleashing a bigger/louder HF. What an occasion that would be. Trying to do it now just isn't feasible IMO. In the petition it says “and a Palace have yet to win at home” Suggesting the lack of wins is due to the absence of HF?
Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season? |

Maybe if the club gave it a try they might’ve stayed put in B if the club tried, but they fecked it up instead. Going by the response to the HF statements, proposals and brochure it stood a bell of a better chance than how the club handled it, which was an amateurish joke as per usual.

I think the fact that Parish and CPFC have used them in brochures, videos And online promoting the club, match tickets, season tickets and memberships pretty much since they bought the club disproves your opinion that the HF are a financial (business) irrelevance. Your argument using the remaining 25,000 is true, obviously, but actually bollox if you look at it from a real business angle, as Parish has for 8 years. Edited by Rudi Hedman (06 Sep 2018 9.59am) Oh dear, oh dear. a) they are a financial irrelevance, as proved by the original poster is of course true, and not 'actual bollox if you look at it from a real business angle' whatever that is meant to mean. Seeing as you obviously bunked off most of your GCSE Businees Studies, let me help you, from a real business angle (sic) What Parish, or mostly likely, the Marketing Director has done is used the HF to help build the CPFC brand. Now since RMH first attributed a monetary value to their brand on their spreadsheets, a brand can be considerably more valuable than its generic commodity counterpart, but alas, a brand asset i.e. the HF, have no intrinsic financial value to them whatsoever (their value is purely emotional, which of course is not to say, without worth, but I'm digressing from the point Oh course Parish, or the Marketing Director, was a bit of t*** to attribute their brand to an asset they neither own nor control but they look a positive genius compared to the comments you're leaving here And you're also on very dodgy grounds if you persist with a financial equation for fans, - purely from looking at it from a real business angle, the fans who are worth more to any club, Palace included , are of course the Corporate ones.

Going by the response to the HF statements, proposals and brochure it stood a bell of a better chance than how the club handled it, which was an amateurish joke as per usual. There's a few points being missed/ignored though: 1) At the time, the Club was working flat out to get planning for the new stand & this would clearly have an impact on any proposed move around. 2) We weren't exactly safe from relegation which could also have affected the situation. 3) The proposal, in the form it's been released now, could have been made public by the HF to either allay fears or simply clarify all the arguing going on across social media. It seems to me that the HF & the Club both want the same thing but one wants it immediately & the other sees the problems/bigger picture of such an undertaking.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

It has been said by a few others in this long thread. We cant even get the catering right. I received an email around the time of renewing season tickets stating "sorry you're not renewing...." I couldn't believe it. I'm one of those mugs that has it automatically renew. What are the chances of the club getting something like this right? Yup - zero.

What a load of verbal diarrhoea. I’m well aware of asset valuations and tangible and important intangible assets. If I wanted to I could consult SSAP’s but that’s just a complete load of flannel with this in mind. Parish, like any business today knows, the importance of growth. Growth, not standing still resting on your laurels. Compare that Jordan buffoon who valued season ticket holders and treated casual fans with contempt and effectively priced them away from attending and what Parish is doing. The value of the HF as a marketing tool is highly valuable and Parish knows it. Businesses thrive and survive by how they plan and grow their markets and marketing plans, not by past and immediate financial reports only, but thanks for the snidely GCSE comment. Wouldn’t expect anything else.
